11Q What is the right interpretation of 2 Thess 3:14-15? Verse 14 says to "not keep company with him," while v.15 says one should still "admonish him as a brother." How is one able to admonish someone by not keeping company with him? Some have used v.14 to the point of complete refusal to have fellowship with the person as much as possible and ultimately became ostracism, which I think is contrary to the Bible's whole teaching and Christ's nature (of even receiving and loving sinners). Appreciate your comments. It is learning that one can love everyone but one cannot work with everyone because of the differences in opinion, methods, doctrine, personality, etc. The above principle takes it further in regard to those who are no longer walking with the Lord. One can love them but can no longer fellowship with them. Posted with Permission from: http://eaglevision.com.my/onlinelogos.htm |
