Shalom,

Scripture references are from,
The SET (Stone Edition Tanach) or the CJB (Complete Jewish Bible) for the OT
and the PNT (Power New Testament ) for the NT unless otherwise specified.

Hbr 12.1. We also, therefore, since we have so great a host of witnesses surrounding us, after we have put off every weight and the easily distracting sin, would ourselves, patiently steadfast, run the race that is set before us 2. fixing our eyes on the Author and Finisher of the faith, Jesus, Who, to obtain the joy set before Him, endured the cross, having despised the shame of it He sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3. For you must now consider the One Who endured such hostility as this toward Himself by the sinners, so that you would not be weary, losing heart in your inmost beings.
12:4. Thus you in your struggling with sin have not resisted to a bloody death. 5. And you have forgotten the exhortation, which speaks to you as sons,
“My son, you must not ever make lightly of the discipline of the Lord
and you must not ever lose courage by His reproving:
6. for whom the Lord loves He disciplines,
and He punishes every son whom He accepts.” (Pr 3:11,12)
7. Endure discipline, God deals with you as sons. For what son is there whom a father does not discipline? 8. But if you are without discipline, of which you have all become sharers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9. Then indeed we have the fathers of our flesh and we respect their discipline: then will we not much more be subject to the Father of our spirits and live? 10. For indeed they were disciplining for a few days according to what seemed good to them, but He for our advantage to make us sharers of His holiness. 11. And indeed no discipline at the time seems to be joy but grief, but later it would yield the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those being trained by it.
12:12. On this account you must immediately strengthen the weakened hands and the disabled knees, 13. and you must continually make a straight path for your feet, so that the lame would not now be twisted, but rather would be immediately healed.

In what we term the previous chapter the writer of the Book to the Hebrews was discussing the Promises of YHVH which Y'SHUA is the manifestation of. That is to say that since the beginning of time YHVH has been making Promises of a coming "seed" to bruise the head of the serpent, of a "seed" that would be as numerous as the stars, of a coming “Lamb” to pay the price of mankind's sin, of a coming “Deliverer”, of a coming “King”, etc, etc, etc.... Y'SHUA was and is the manifestation of these Promises!
He was and is what YHVH had Vowed!
He was and is therefore the spoken Word of YHVH manifest into the earth.
It is this "spoken" form of YHVH which John was referencing when he wrote...
Jn 1.1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. He was with God in the beginning. 3. All things came through Him, and there was not one thing that came into being without His participation. (Wsd 9:1) What had come 4. in Him was life, and the life was the Light of mankind: 5. and the Light shines in the darkness, nevertheless the darkness has not appropriated it (Jn 3:19).

Our faith; the CHRISTian faith is based in His life, in the life of Y'SHUA as The CHRIST. It started or was written (authored) in the history and the words of His life and is concluded (finished) in the saving grace which through His death and resurrection saves us at His second coming; His coming as The MESSIAH.
Thus “our faith” was written most poignantly from the time when Y’SHUA was baptized of John but one should also see that it has been authored from the foundations of the earth, from the point when YHVH first started speaking life into or onto the earth.
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was unformed and void, darkness was on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God hovered over the surface of the water.
3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.

I have said this many times before but since the opportunity is available I need to state it again in order to get this point clearly understood.
Before YHVH "said", as is indicated in verse 3, the earth had already been created by YHVH, as is indicated in verse 1; it was here for HIM to speak life into. Equally important is that you see and understand what is said in verse 2. The earth was "unformed and void" or "void and without form" (KJV). The lack of "form" upon the earth is from the lack of time. Without time there existed no way for us to record a history for history is basically a recalling of events placed within the structure or “form” of time.

It is also important that you see that it was "void". At the point prior to the presence of time, the earth was also void; it was lacking the SPIRIT of YHVH actively engaged within it. The SPIRIT was hovering but it was not actively involved. Once YHVH speaks, then The SPIRIT acts. The SPIRIT then becomes involved in order to create that which YHVH says is to be created. This is also what happens when one is “Born Again”. YHVH speaks “new Birth” to you when you accept HIM through the sacrifice that HE has given to purchase you back from your sins. Thus when YHVH becomes actively engaged into the affairs of things upon the earth, history begins. Anything that was here before that was what we call "Pre"-history or simply, "Prehistoric" and it really does not matter in the grand scheme of things. Once YHVH speaks, history begins and The Scriptures record those events.

Again you need to see that this is also what happens in your life. When you accept YHVH through the sacrifice of HIS offering to forgive your sins then nothing you have done before that moment matters. It is forgiven and forgotten. It is cast as far as the east is from the west, never to be remembered again by YHVH. From that moment on YHVH looks at you but sees only the blood of Y’SHUA unless you turn from that blood; from that sacrifice; from the only sacrifice that will stand before YHVH when the final accounting of your life takes place!

At the point when The SPIRIT of YHVH starts to move upon the earth YHVH creates a new earth within the confines of the old one. HE places a garden or a perfect SPIRIT filled environment within the void and HE starts a record of all that transpires from within that garden and eventually beyond. All of this and much more ties together throughout The Scriptures as YHVH illustrates HIS love for that which HE has created. YHVH then personifies HIS love for HIS creation in the life and sacrifice of Y'SHUA which YHVH had said HE would provide from the day when HIS creation had to be cast out of the garden because of their preference for sin or we might say, because they preferred to have things their own way.

In order for YHVH's WORD to become a flesh bearing entity HE first had to give up or empty HIMself of all of HIS deity (Phil 2:6-11). If HE had not, HIS purity, HIS Holiness, would have consumed HIS flesh. Then as a human in order for nothing to be within himself except The SPIRIT of YHVH this man, Y'SHUA, had to empty Himself of His humanity; He had to become “like” a virgin womb or a cleaned house like that personified in the Pesach (Passover) preparations. This then allows the fullness of YHVH to infill and live within Him. This infilling of the “Fullness” of YHVH happened at the time when Y’SHUA was baptized by John. Until that moment He was “Born of the SPIRIT” of YHVH in a manner similar to that which any Believer is! At His baptism however The SPIRIT of YHVH descended anew to fully immerse or baptize Him in The SPIRIT a second time and to start the ministry that YHVH has gifted Him into. Later in Acts 1:8 He tells His Disciples to wait for this same event to happen to them in order that they too may enter into the ministry which YHVH has gifted them for.
Notice the slight difference in the timing of these baptisms for the Disciples. They become “Born Again” at their first baptism into a life covered by the blood of the sacrificial life of Y’SHUA whereas Y’SHUA was “Born Again” at His physical birth into the earth realm. They then become infilled at a second infilling of The SPIRIT of YHVH just as Y’SHUA had become so infilled at His baptism by John the Baptist.

Allowing the fullness of YHVH to live within Him then allowed Him to do things that no man had ever done before except in very limited cases as the SPIRIT of YHVH would come "upon" them for a season. The truth behind this difference can be found in one of the most unlikely sources; the Q'ran. Within the pages of the Q'ran it states of Y'SHUA and of no one else that He was a Prophet that healed"!
With this in mind one must stop to ask, "If the most ardent opponents of Y'SHUA can recognize this of Him why do you have doubts as to who He was?"
As noted He did things that no man had ever done before Him except in limited cases. However as we look into the lives of the Disciples which followed Him we see that these same “miracles” followed in their lives. Only as men started to profess Y’SHUA “AS YHVH” did these miracles begin to wane! They slowly ceased because man no longer saw Y’SHUA as the Firstborn Son of YHVH and thus as their Brother (among many Brethren a.k.a. Brothers) but they saw Him as being YHVH and thus "different" from who and what they were. They saw Him as The only begotten Son of YHVH FOREVER rather than as the "First of Many"!

In the person of Y'SHUA CHRISTianity was started and it will conclude when He returns as The MESSIAH!
He is therefore the author and the finisher of our faith!
BUT…but it is not over until the final trumpets sounds and He is made complete.
When He receives His bride and they become one flesh! When He becomes the head and we furnish His body!
When He takes His position as The Head of the entire tribe of praise and worshipers of YHVH known as The Tribe of Judah!
Then it will be done and YHVH HIMself will say…
Well done, my good and faithful servant! (Matt 25:21-30)

It is to this conclusion that the writer to the Hebrews writes…
If Y’SHUA could endure through His death upon the cross because of The SPIRIT of YHVH infilling Him then you too could endure such a cross if you too are infilled in like manner; if YHVH is with you for “with” YHVH all things are possible! (Matt 1:23; Matt 19:26)

Our faith started within the life of Y’SHUA because His offering of His life was the final sacrifice made for the sins of mankind. No other sacrifice could or would ever pay the price. They were all a temporary solution as the writer as stated in…
Hbr 10:4-8 it is impossible for blood of bulls and goats to permanently take away sin, by a single offering.
10:5. On account of which, when He came into the world He said,
“You did not want sacrifices and offerings,
but You did make ready a body for Me:
6. and You did not take pleasure in a whole burnt offering
on behalf of sin. (1 Sa 15:22, Hos 6:6, Ps 51:18)
7. Then I said,
‘Behold! I come,
in the roll of a scroll which has been written about Me,
to do Your will O God.’” (Ps 40:6-8)
8. After saying first that “You did not want sacrifices and offerings and You did not delight in whole burnt offerings on behalf of sin,” (Ps 40:6) which were being offered according to Torah,

Impossible; no other offering can be made!
Once a "perfect" sacrifice had been offered nothing else would ever suffice. Therefore YHVH rent The Temple veil (Matt 27: 50-51) and later, as prophesied, HE would allow for the total destruction of The Temple in 70 AD., The Temple which HE had commissioned to be built.
The blood offering of the life of Y'SHUA was the final and only totally acceptable sacrifice for the sins of mankind. Only through this offering can one eventually be "saved" and only through this blood sacrifice can one be "Born Again"

YHVH, through the sacrifice of HIS Firstborn Son has also made you a Son. As a Son of YHVH (1 Jn 3:2) you are given authority to act on the behalf of The FATHER.
What race are you running?
Are your eyes fixed upon the finish line or upon your “self”?
Do you remember that you are now YHVH’s Son?
As HIS Son you are given HIS full authority to act on HIS behalf!
What are you doing with HIS authority?

The more I wander through the wilderness which is this life, the more I understand the frustrations of YHVH as HE seeks for a people that will give HIM HIS due glory!
