"They're coming, today?" Claude slammed down the receiver in a huff. He folded his arms and sighed, before uncrossing them and reaching for a cigarette. He had forgotten that the new recruits were due for today. He though it was next month, or at the very least, next week. But no, it had to be today. Sighing once more Claude pulled on his clothes and headed for the door. Poking his head out, he looked down the rest of the corridor, wondering if anyone had arrived yet. He could head some faint rustling and saw a few doors opening and so in a hurry, rushed towards the BLU team's common room. Upon arriving, Claude thankfully found no one. Catching his breath, Claude tried to regain his posture, keeping a close eye on the door. After regaining his breath, Claude sat in the corner of the room, watching the door like a hawk. He had been woken up early for this, so these new recruits better be special. |

Okay, well, the uniform wasn't bad. It was kinda familiar, and that put Jimmy's mind at ease—actually, he felt a little ritzy, compared to what he was used to wearing. The shoes, especially, were making him almost giddy—he'd never owned baseball cleats that fit so well, that looked so clean. The shoes alone made him want to take off running—although he imagined that probably wasn't the best idea. He was inside, in some hallway or another, after all, having had a chance to dump his limited personal effects in a bunk before making his way to whatever meeting he was supposed to go to. To be honest, Jimmy was a bit surprised that he'd gotten the job at all. He'd held a lot of odd jobs in his life, some legitimate and some not, but he'd never pictured himself getting hired by a huge corporation like BLU... and the paycheck. Ohh, the paycheck. He'd never even imagined being offered so much money to bash heads in. Well, whatever—he was going to make the most of this. He still had a lot to learn, a lot to pick up on, about how things worked here—but he was up to the challenge. Upon locating what he thought was the right common room, he looked at the door for a second, fiddling with the earpiece over his cap, chewing on his lower lip a bit and glancing back and forth. Yep, well, it didn't seem like there was another "common room" anywhere around here. With a mild shrug, the scout pushed the door open, his pale eyes skimming the room to settle on the sole occupant. He stared for a second, then nonchalantly lifted a bound hand in greeting, strolling lazily into the room. "Yo. Dis the right place? It's frickin' empty in here." Kneading the soft fabric in between his fingertips, he wondered how well he was going to fit in with the rest of the team. Sure, most of his father’s stories had revolved around a man and his team, but that case wouldn’t apply to every war. Right? Stripping off of his plain white tee, Quentin slipped on his uniform shirt and buttoned it up accordingly. Quite snug; perfect fit. Pushing himself off of the bed, the slender male stretched and had his limbs cracking. ”Might as well go ahead and meet the masses ..” Shoving the instructions into his pocket and placing the dark tinted frames upon the bridge of his nose, he exited the room. It was back into that eerie hall once again, although there seemed to be muffled voices at the other side of the corridor. ”Must be them,” the male thought to himself. Entering the common room, he spotted two other males. Completely stoic, Quentin takes a seat. ”Shit, my heart’s beating fast. Shake it off, they’re your teammates.” |

It had been an absolutely spectacular morning so far, and a lovely train ride in—Johann was feeling peachy as he strolled through the hallways of the facility, mapping it in his head so he would remember where to go next time. There was a certain modern edge to the architecture, he noted, a good deal of steel and plexiglass, and it occurred to him that a company called Builder's League United would, of course, take pride in their construction prowess. Still, he thought he preferred the old masonry of home—not that he should have been thinking of such things now. Half the point of this was discovery... well, okay, maybe not quite half. The coat fit well, and he was pleased with it, looking down as he walked to fiddle with one of the buttons. The gloves were nice, too—they had the most satisfying snap to them when he'd pulled them on after dropping off his belongings in one of the bunks. But he had to keep himself focused, somewhat—his instructions had been to locate the common room for a general meeting, and actually he was keen on the idea of meeting the people he would be essentially looking after. Even moreso, he was eager to inspect the medical facilities provided, but he supposed that would have to wait. This was the door—the ginger-haired German stepped into the room lightly, eyes skimming over the occupants, making quick assessments. A masked man would be secretive—possibly difficult—there was a young boy, and Johann was almost surprised at how young he appeared. And then a quiet gentleman as well, who the medic peered at very briefly before smiling around at them all. Of course this wasn't everyone, but it was a start. "Good morning, lieblings. Feeling vell?" Edited by Nami, Mar 24 2011, 12:11 PM.

Staring around the room, Claude sighed. There were no signs of human life arriving any time soon. "Pfft... I thought I was supposed to be late..." Picking a cigarette out of his case and hanging it on his lips, Claude lit it and took a long drag. Perhaps he had been tricked, duped into coming here early. Taking another long drag, Claude's eyes wandered over to the door. From a little way off, he could hear footsteps. "Guess people are coming after all..." As the door opened, Claude couldn't help but straighten his posture a little, an old habit. watching the young man stroll in, Claude got to his feet and shook his hand in greeting. "Yeah, zhis is ze right room. You're just ze first person to come." Placing his hands in his pockets, Claude looked the man in front of him over. "Ze others should be arriving soon." Looking up when the door opened again, Claude watched the next team mate enter the room. The guy seemed slightly nervous and as a gesture to try and get him to relax, Claude smiled at him. There always tended to be a loner type in a team, and they usually didn't cause much trouble. The same couldn't be said for the scout, of course. The door opened once more, and this time the team's medic stepped inside. He seemed cheerful, at least. Extending his hand to him, Claude replicated his smile. "Fine, thank you." Now that there was a fairly big chunk of the team here, Claude figured it was probably time to start introductions. Coughing to get everyone's attention, Claude started to introduce himself. "My name is Jean-Claude Dubois. I'm ze team's leader, and ze team's spy. If you have any questions or problems, come to me, but try to figure them out yourselves first, yes?" |

A Spy. A Scout. A Medic. The uniforms had said it all. As he entered the common room, the leader ( he assumed ) gestured to him. A genial smile following soon after. It was odd. That short moment of anxiety faded away rather quickly. Quentin sat in an empty seat in one of the corners of the room. He praised his own sense of space and hopefully his soon-to-be-teammates would respect that. Sure, at the first glance he looked like a loner … but in reality it wasn’t that way. He just didn’t want to get in the way. Shifting in his seat, adjusting his position, he took one another look at each and every person in the room. Their personalities respectfully matching with the classes they were assigned. ’Good morning …’ The slender man looked at the cheery medic and dipped his head forward slightly. His verbal response was caught somewhere in his throat; his lips parted slightly, he just closed his mouth and went back to his own thoughts. That didn’t last too long. The sniper’s head rose up lazily. ”Jean-Claude Dubois. Leader. Spy.” Jean’s apparent accent dancing atop his words. Looking around to the others, he let out a subtle sigh and stood up; small smile, eyes hidden behind his tinted aviators, ”Quentin Sinclair. Sniper.” His forearm coming across his abdomen, leaning forward, bowing slightly. ”Nice to meet you all.” |

Jimmy shook the Spy's hand without much thought. Well, of course he was the first one to come—he'd kinda be a shoddy excuse for a scout if he didn't get there first, right? Some impressions had to be made. He had to prove in a short time that he deserved his post, that he could run faster, get things done quicker, get in, get out, get across, get where he needed to go. All without breaking a sweat, hopefully. He knew this as going to be challenging work, but, with the nowhere direction his life had been taking up until now, being busy would be a welcome change. "Right. Yeah." Jimmy took a step back, trying to size up the other man a bit—he wasn't too comfortable with the fact that the guy was masked. It was hard to trust someone when you couldn't see their face—but, this guy was supposed to be a leader or something, and he supposed he didn't have much of a choice but to accept what BLU threw at him for leadership and teammates. Teammates... Jimmy's eyes flickered over to the other two men in the room, hovering over the medic first since he'd spoken. Huh. Well, he definitely seemed... friendly, although he wasn't actually sure if he was comfortable with the word choice. He had no idea what liebling meant, but it sounded like an endearment and he wasn't much appreciative. The other guy seemed quiet and polite (also not what he was used to) but he supposed it'd be easy enough to deal. "Uh, yeah, m'fine, doc," he half-mumbled, then rolled his shoulders, kicking at the ground briefly with one foot, letting his arms hang loosely. "Call me Jimmy," he answered, looking around at the small assembly. "Scout." |
