I know the news is kinda freaking out about Hurricane Irene right now, and it makes sense because hurricanes don't usually hit the north east, but as far as I've seen nobody is saying how strong it is. It aggrivates me a little because it was originally going to pass through Florida, and nobody cared then. I know Florida gets hurricanes more often than everybody else, but at least we get to know the wind speeds. I can imagine that it got stronger while being over the warm waters for the long period of time, but what's the wind speed, man? Also has anyone here been in a hurricane before? o: I've been in a few (a Florida dweller is me), and I remember once the eye passed over my area and we swam in our tree debrees-filled pool. *shot* |
