As an englishman i am quite bitter than in my lifetime our national team hasnt been able to achieve any form of world success but things maybe looking up (how many times have we said that). England played France tonight (11/06/12) and personally i think it was quite a good result for England. I expected them to atleast get a point out of the game because the ability of the players we have in our dressing room is more than enough to compete against teams of France's quality. How do you feel regarding the 1-1 result, was the introduction of fresh legs to keep the high tempo up a little late? Did Roy get his tactics & line-up right? What would have been your line-up? Would love to hear from you England fans. |

I feel we gave away the goal a little too easily, things to be learnt from this. We need to push out and get out from the defense alot quicker than we were doing. If gerrard and parker were out a little quicker, i doubt nasri would've had the time and composure to put away the finish which he did. I think Ukraine will be just as big of a game, being the host nation and the expectation is now within the squad after having a quitely decent start to their campaign. |

Yeah i'm with you guys, i feel quite confident that we can take this result on now and achieve bigger better things. I think Hodgeson got the tactics spot on, he put the men behind the ball, we were nice compact, small and hard to break down. I think the bigger teams will still be able to break us down but i think we can be classed as possibly the dark horse of the situation. |
