What is the worst movie you have ever willingly subjected yourself to?

The Box
"A small wooden box arrives on the doorstep of a married couple, who know that opening it will grant them a million dollars and kill someone they don't know."

God fucking damn, that was such a terrible movie. However, it was the movie I took my current girlfriend to, so it worked out. What terrible terrors have you faced? ;_;

Aliens vs. Hunter which is a parody of Aliens vs. Predator. The movie is intended to be a low budget parody and it succeeds there. It's also funny that part is unintentional. I highly recommend the movie and even have screen caps of it still from when the friend and I rented it.

What even brought you to rent that, the title alone is terrible.

Oh, Jesus. I was forced to watch some of The Box as well (my friend insisted we watch it although we all knew it was going to be crap). Ugh, it was just so boring and made absolutely no sense whatsoever. I can't think of a worse movie I've had to sit through.

What is so bad with The Box? I haven't seen it but I cannot imagine it to be that bad.

Everything about the movie is ridiculous. The concept of the movie seems sort of appealing at the start, but as I said throughout the course of the movie things just get weirder and weirder. It's as if the plot was written by a child or something, I don't know... I ended up losing track of what was happening and just occupied my time with texting, anyway.

@catface: Is it really that bad? I've heard mixed opinions on it.

Sorry to you Gandhi fans, but Gandhi.

As for the box... didn't think it was that bad from the trailer. Guess I'll have to see for myself.

I have most of you beaten:

1. The Passion of the Christ
2. Fireproof

Both are overtly fundamentalist Christian in origin. In Fireproof, the characters and directing team are, as opposed to the Passion, mostly Pentecostal Christians. Fireproof is dumber, crazier, and more unrealistic than The Passion itself, but not by that much.

For the record, I only submitted myself to such torture in that I was more or less forced there, and didn't leave the theater. I did, however, listen to much Napalm Death goodness. At a volume which disturbed the people around us, too!

How many of you saw these movies because of your significant others? I have watched Twilight for my girlfriend and it is easily in the top 5 of the worst movies I have seen. Do you know what would make a vampire movie better? Making them effeminate. Then we'll throw in the least manly wolves (they must be Native American due to racism) and it's a shining (like the vampires in the sun!) hit. :erm:

If you know my name and don't know who I am, you're probably not the Michael I'm thinking of, haha. But it's like you're a clone of the dude.

I remember some metalheaded fellow who I may or may not have spoken to a bit.

Motley's the name. Being a legend is decidedly the game.

This is the reason the remake of Land of the Lost didn't make number three on my list.

I do, however, remember that I laughed more than anyone else there.
