I'm in a container, like a fish in an aquarium. Were it not for an oxygen mask, I'd drown in here. "I've been tricked," I say to myself, angry at my blind faith and foolishness. "Don't worry," said that evil, spiteful voice. I looked up and glared straight into the Stranger's eyes. "This is what you wanted," he said. "You wanted a reason to live, and that's what I'm giving you." He pulled out a switch. All the liquid in my container drained out. The oxygen mask was lifted from my face. I tried to run, but found I was bound by chains to a platform. The Stranger came up to me, a hypodermic needle between his fingers. There was bubbling liquid inside the needle. "You know me as the Stranger. Many know me as the Vampire Lord. But soon, I will be known to you only as master," he said. Those were the last words I heard before the needle was pierced where my heart was. I felt a burning heat that erupted through my veins. I screamed, wishing the torture would end, wishing for death. My own eyes saw red. I could faintly see the outline of the five-pointed star on the ground below. I felt something growing outof my back. Then, my senses gave out, and there was nothing more.
