This story is short. I was originally going to do a Valentine's day story, but I never got to it. This happens without regard to the Perpetual Island thing. ~~~~~ Koga sighed. A heavy sigh. The kind of sigh people usually do when they are about to be executed. His was worse than execution. He had to find Utada a present for their wedding anniversary. What am I supposed to get her? he thought. Thinking back to when he had asked her this morning, Koga groaned. His wife's answer to his question was a feared one. She had not asked for anything expensive or rare. she had said something worse. "I am sure whatever you get for me, I will be happy with it." Koga was walking around the market, looking at everything in sight. He had already taken jewelry and makeup off of his "Possible List", since Utada never wore any of either. Well, other than her wedding ring and the occasional red lipstick. As for anything related to food, Koga wanted something that could last for awhile. Earlier in the day, when Koga had tried to see if there were any clothes Utada may like. He had wandered into the lingerie section by accident and was accused by the female manager of being a pervert. Needless to say, he was kicked out. Koga sighed again. He was reminscencing on times he had with Utada. One memory suddenly came to his mind. ~~~~~ "Hey Utada, do you ever see your old friends?" Koga asked. A slight shadow of sadness crossed Utada's face. "No. I do not know where they are right now. I have forgotten how to go to Spring Star due to my injury," she said sadly. "Do you have anything that helps you remember them?" "Just the memories in my mind." ~~~~~ Inspiration suddenly struck Koga. He knew what he could get Utada. He would have to work quickly though. ~~~~~ "Happy anniversary, Utada," Koga said while handing her a (badly) wrapped package. "Thank you, Koga." Utada said while giving Koga her gift. Apparently, she had fixed his katana, which had broken a few days ago. Looking at her unwrapped gift, Utada's eyes threatened to have tears spilled over. Koga suddenly became scared out of his mind. He remembered hearing something about "Women's Wrath" and he was afraid that Utada would strike him. The next thing he knew, he was embraced in the biggest hug of his lifetime. "THANKYOUKOGAILOVEYOUSOMUCH!" Utada exclaimed in a somewhat out-of-character way, tears of happiness streaming down her face. In her hands, she held a photo album filled with photographs of her old friends. Koga recovered from the shock before returning the hug with as much affection. Anniversaries aren't that bad after all. ~~~~~ Hope you liked it! |
