Course 1 - Sand course ~ 1 mi So people do not get confused or offended, score 50/100 is most average. Higher is above, lower is below. This course is due... Saturday. From the starting point, you arrive upon 3 fairly low hurdles. Then you encounter a 20 ft. high net in which you must pass from the top of. After a bit of walking up a ramp of sand and jumping one low hurdle, you reach a mound of sand. (1/4 mi total point) Here, you must find the flag which is buried underneath. Next you must avoid 3 cannons which shoot at you every now and then, while going down a ramp of sand and jumping 1 fairly low hurdle. You reach a small mound which you must place the flag in the hole. (1/2 mi total point) In front of you are 3 fairly low hurdles and then another small mound of sand, in which you must fight a Dark Blue Fuzzy on. (Danger level 2/10, jump, water wisp, dive, tickle) After the battle, you arrive on another small mound in which you must a fight a Cupant on (Danger level 3/10, absorb, sweet scent, sticky, vine whip). Now, you must cross over a 30 ft. net. (3/4 mi total point) Then you come across another low hurdle and now must travel up a total of 5 lumpy hills of sand, slightly sinkish sand. (1 mi point) Then you reacht he top, that is the end of this course.

Serkane walks over to the beginning of the course. He notices the obstacles blocking his way, including several low hurdles. Probably won't be fair to the other competitors to fly over them... he thinks to himself. He runs over to the hurdles, and jumps over the first one. He nearly doesn't make it. Darn it... I haven't used my legs like this in a while now... He does the same to the next two hurdles. He sees a net, which he climbs up to the top of. His talons were surprisingly well-suited for it. He reaches the top and jumps, slowing his fall with his wings. He runs over a ramp of sand, coming across another hurdle, which he jumps over. He notices he's gotten a little better at it now that he had some practice. Still, he thanks God he doesn't have to do it all the time. He comes across a mound of sand. Great... digging... this would be torture if I had to use my hands... he thinks to himself. He uses his telekinesis to move basketball-sized chunks of sand out of the way. Eventually, he comes across the flag. There are some things I won't do for the sake of fairness... That includes getting my feathers dirty... he thinks to himself as he grabs the flag and runs. He notices some cannons up ahead. He gathers psychic energy, and creates several clone copies which run off in random directions. The cannons' fire is diverted, and Serkane runs as fast as he can go, jumps a hurdle, and places the flag in the hole. He then runs over, gets rid of the copies, and notices three more hurdles. "Enough with the hurdles already!" He says out loud. He jumps over them, with a disgusted look on his face. He almost catches his foot on one of them while not paying attention. He notices a dark blue fuzzy. Well, at least it's a fight... he thinks to himself. The fuzzy jumps and uses water wisp of him, which Serkane flies up and evades. The fuzzy has a puzzled look on his face, and dives into Serkane. He teleports, and then dives into the fuzzy, pinning it to the ground. He takes his stormrider talon, and then stabs it multiple times until it is defeated. He then runs further, and notices a sweet scent in the air. What is that? Whatever it is, it smells nice... He sniffs the nice scent, when a Cupant gets behind him and uses absorb on him. "Wha!?!" Serkane says, and shakes off the Cupant. Gah... Why did I let myself get distracted like that... The Cupant stretches out its vines, and prepares for attack. Serkane fights them off with his Stormrider talons, slicing off one. Another inflicts a glancing blow on him, and Serkane grabs it. The Cupant gets a worried look on his face, and Serkane starts spinning around, and throws the Cupant like a discus. He then flies over to where it is and finishes the job, slicing it with a dash attack and then a Stormrider talon throw. He flies back on the course, and climbs a 30 foot net, grimacing. He notices his wounds, and is slightly tired. He reaches the end, and climb down about 10 feet, then jumps off. He runs over to the hurdle, and jumps. He notices several hills of sand, and takes his first step on one. His foot sank into it, but not too much. It was a huge effort for him to walk over the hills, considering the fact he hadn't used his legs for a while. He finally clears the hills, and he half runs, half flies to the end of the course. (OOC: Was that good enough? I know you didn't want one-sentence obstacle clearing. I decided not to let Serkane fly to clear the obstacles, since that would be rather unfair. ) |

That was pretty descriptive. I liked it. Maybe a rule about using only your raw physical strength (no enhancements) and your weapons should be included. |

PI - Sapphire's Sand Course Review Post Ok, from what I read. You did kinda rush over the easy obstacles. Let's see. Well, I will have to give you bonus points for being fair to the others. Your battle was really your best part, as well as the cannons. What we want to see here is using your skills efficiently, and I think you did just that! I will pm you your score. I will use this one as an example, so if youw ant to do the course again you may, seeing as you were the first one, and may not have completely understood the entire objective. I pmed your score. Of course, you'd be allowed to use your own skills, it's just that, use themf airly, and with a special uniqueness. That will earn you points. Utada, you know you can participate too? You're still allowed to participate, you just helped me make the contest, that's all. So you already get a exclusive prize. But you can still do the contest. And Y_ng is still waiting for a reply, he said he emailed you. It's this sunday btw. and It is a special occasion. If It's too much trouble for your parents to bring you, my dad can. He's off. |

Koga glances at the bracelet on his wrist. It kept him from using his wind abilities to "cheat" in the competition. Letting out a heavy sigh, he darted into the course. Since the hurdles were pretty low, Koga jumped over them with relative ease. Glancing up at the ropes above him, Koga suddenly felt queasy. (Flashback: When Koga was training as a kid) Koga had gone into the jungle to attempt the sport of vine swinging. No matter how hard he tried, his tail kept on getting in the way. In the end, his tail got tangled in the vines, leaving him hanging upside down for hours before someone freed him. (End flashback) Koga figured that as long as he kept his tail directly behind him, nothing would happen. Cautiously climbing up at first, Koga quickly gained speed and climbed over the net. Slightly drained of energy, it took Koga a little more strength than usual to jump over the next hurdle. "Oh please… no." Koga looked at the mound of sand, sighed (he does that a lot), and began to dig as fast as he could. After practically taking apart half of the mound, he found the flag. BOOM! Koga heard the cannons. Putting his ear to the ground he decided to find out whether the three cannons shots were timed. "1…2…3…" BOOM! Figuring out the timing, Koga quickly jumped over the hurdle and narrowly dodged the cannonballs being shot at him, placing the lag in the hole. "MORE HURDLES?! WHO CAME UP WITH THIS THING?!" Koga decided to calm down for a while to restore his energy. Feeling refreshed, he jumped over the hurdles only to be encountered by… "I. Hate. Fuzzies." Koga especially hated it when they tickled him. Being a tiger yokai has its downsides. Stifling a laugh, he pulled out one of his katanas (with great difficulty) and sliced the distraction to ribbons. He was really angry at this point. Another disadvantage of being a tiger yokai: a powerful sense of smell. Sniffing the sweet fragrance that hung in the air, Koga felt really dizzy. The Cupant decided to finish him off with a vine whip. Big mistake. Seeing the vine made Koga panic, which made him enraged. As anyone knows, when Koga becomes enraged… "DIE YOU LITTLE SAP!!" Some shredded leaves and yellow plant parts floated around where Koga had been standing a few seconds ago. Seeing another net, Koga decided to see how far he would get just by jumping first. Doing that, he cleared fifteen feet right then and there. Climbing to the top, he jumped off and cleared the hurdle ("How many can you put in a single course?!") Feeling the sand beneath him sink, Koga began to jump as far and as high as he could. "Just a little more…" Koga got to the finish point. After walking seven more feet, he fell down, deciding to take a nap. |

You didn't really use any skills, but theRP was good. You effectiely dodged the cannons. So there's bonus points. Let's see... You rushed through the battles, but I liked how you put the tailthing in. Utada's score: 75/100 wow! You did quite good! You're in the above average section! Anyways... I'll finish the second course before the end of the week. And you all know this course is due saturday,right? Good. |

Xavier looks at the hurdles and says"piece 'o cake". He starts running then suddenly trips and falls*oomph*. "Man, this is harder than I expected..."He clears all the hurdles easily, then reaches the giant net. "If I jumped, I wouldn't have to climb as much." Xavier jumps right into the net, bounces back and lands on the ground, again. "This is getting old real fast." He starts climbing, then when he's close to the top, his hands slip. Fortunately, his feet are still there so he pulls himself back up and gets to the top. He looks down and almost falls. He starts climbing down when he falls, and lands on the sand. "Good thing I landed in sand, otherwise...where'd my legs go???" He looks around then realizes that his legs are buried in sand. He gets out and starts running and jumps over the hurdle. Finally he reaches the sand mound and starts digging. He eventually finds it and starts running again. *BOOM*"What was that?" All of a sudden, a cannonball flies right past his head."...AAAAAAAHHH!!!" He starts running around randomly and drops his flag. He eventually makes it through and jumps over the hurdle when he looks back, smacks forehead and says"The flag!" He grabs the flag and gets back doing the same strategy of random movements. He remembers that he's supposed to put the flag in the hole, but he doesn't see it. Then he looks down and says"oh". He puts it in and starts running again. He jumps over the hurdles then meets the fuzzy. "This appears to be some sort of guidance, maybe I should ask it something." Xavier walks over when it starts sucking his health! "AAAHH!"He throws it off and gets in his ready stance. Just as it leaps to attack again, he throws a punch and it makes contact. He then starts CENSORED and CENSORED plus ******** it to pulp. He then finds a little leaf on the ground. "Oooookay...It's a good thing I know magic." He throws a mini fireball at it and out pops a cupant...on fire. The Cupant eats Xavier and he catches on fire. "Stupid @#$%!" He uses his water magic to put out the flames, but accidentally heals the cupant. Xavier readies his wind magic and unleashes swift tornado, which instantly shreds the cupant into tiny little pieces. He looks up at the net and sighs. He climbs over and jumps the hurdles when he sees the hills. "I'm to exhausted for this. I know, I'll use my magic." He creates a small wind current right in front of him which blows the sand away. He casually walks to the finish and says"Finally" and collapses. He then gets up spitting sand out of his mouth. |
