As we know, Final Cut Pro is a non-linear and non-destructive editing software application, it can only import non-destructive video format including DV, HDV, P2 MXF (DVCProHD), XDCAM, and 2K film formats. Nevertheless, the widely used MP4 is lossy format, which is a final delivery file type and is heavily compressed. In order to successfully import MP4 to Final Cut Pro, we have to convert the lossy MP4 to non-destructive format like DV which is compatible with FCP.

You can choose Brorosft Video Converter for Mac, which is the best FCP conversion tool for you. The program is an easy-to-use yet professional app which can be used as a MP4 video converter under Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.7 Lion, Snow Leopard 10.6, Leopard 10.5. With it, you can effortlessly transcode MP4 to ProRes 422 for Final Cut Pro X/7/6, AIC MOV for iMovie 08/09/11/FCE, MPEG-2 for Adobe Premiere Pro, DNxHD for Avid Media Composer, etc. It works well and converts flawlessly.
