Ashley walked the halls of Hogwarts; she had just come out of Transfiguration. Ashley could be described as the typical Ravenclaw, studious, smart and wise beyond her years. Ashley loved to work and enjoyed studying, so she rarely got time to make friends, even other Ravenclaw’s weren’t her friends because she didn’t like smart people. This coming from a Ravenclaw was very strange and made her a joke with most students, that being said Ashley wasn’t a fan of dumb people either.

Ashley sat down to the side of the hallway, leaning against the wall looking at a book about plants; she came second in Herbology so she had to brush up. Ashley couldn’t live with coming second; she must come first, not second, not third, first. Nothing else will do Ashley would not allow it.

Dante had a few free periods this morning, and wasnt much interested in studying, so he was sitting on a windowsill, acoustic guitar in hand, and his voice ringing down the halls of Hogwarts. He loved music, and thoroughly enjoyed playing his guitar, and singing his favorite songs. He was seventeen now, and was an adult in the wizarding world. Now that he was in his last year of schooling, Dante was starting to consider his future. Working at the Ministry, or something of the sort, wasn't his ideal way of living life. He wanted to take his music to a different level, and had the means to do so, but wasnt sure if that was what he truly wanted to make of his life. He was never sure, and didnt think he ever would be.

Dante stopped singing when a girl suddenly came around the corner of the corridor. He was confident is his musical skills, but was still a little shy, especially to strangers. He blushed a little, and chuckled to himself as he placed his acoustic in its case. Sitting up on the windowsill he watched the girl with curiosity. "What are you doing?" He called to her.

Ashley looked up when she was addressed, turns out that a boy was playing a guitar, he obviously stopped because of her presence, how annoying. To make matters worse he asked a very stupid question, but Ashley said nothing about that, the boy could possibly be blind and could have heard her activity, thus having to stop his playing and ask her what she was doing in order to know what she was doing. Curiosity never annoyed Ashley, but dumb questions did. “I happen to be reading a book on Herbology,” She explained, deciding that the boy had to be blind. “What were you just playing?” She asked, making sure that the boy knew that he was playing a guitar and not a mandolin or something similar.

Bless her dumbness...

Dante frowned at the expression the woman was giving him. At he studied her, he could already see she was somewhat stuck up. Basic questions were always a good basis to go on when starting a conversation, but he was getting the feeling that this girl didn't fancy the basics. "Oh, fair enough. Are you studying or are you lesiure reading?" he asked curiously, wondering if she was that bored as to read a herbology book for fun. He ran his hand through his hair, trying to make it a little neater than it was. He enjoyed his scruffy look but had been told on previous occasions that it was very 'handsome'. "Oh um, I was playing a muggle song. Afraid, by the muggle band Yellowcard... It's a favorite of mine." he said with a smile. It reminded him of his mother for some reason.

Ashley closed the book as the boy continued with the conversation, she sighed, not because she was annoyed with the boy, but because she hated the reason why she was reading. “I came second highest in herbology,” She begun. “And I hate coming second, so I must work harder to come first.” She explained, hoping the boy would understand.
Ashley nodded, having a muggle father, she knew some muggle songs, but the one the boy had just been playing was not one she was familiar with. “It is strange, the names people think up for bands, don’t you think?” She questioned. Being a long-time believer in finding out things, Ashley tended to ask a lot of questions, some seemed like useless questions to others, but to Ashley, they would be very important questions, not being one of trivial conversation.
