thanks zombie... hanku amu nu inya ti kamayatan nga camera..maybe those cameras having a price range of 100k plus.hehe but as a beginner like me, i'd recommend a compact digital camera first or if you have the budget go for the entry level dslr's.. after all it's not about the camera, its the photographer who takes the picture that matters ![]() |

Great shots! I got my basic photography in college when I took up Mass Comm and I was thankful to explore more discoveries how to handle camera manually which means discovering the artist pulse in me. Though I didnīt have my own camera during those years of study, I risked my allowance to rent outside school so I can discover more about technical handling and thus taking pictures and developing them on my own. Honestly, I love CANON camera. Since 1992 Iīd been using this camera in college, at home and at work. Iīve trusted Canon despite handling few other cameras. The Canon EOS Camera System is the most complete Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera system in the world. Whether you are a beginner or advanced professional looking for a digital camera or 35mm film camera, the EOS System takes your photography to the next level. |

Salamat sir Yang-ew, i'm glad you like it..I still have a lot of learning to do though..thank you also for sharing a bit of history about yourself. A humbling beginning you had! From the year you started photography, you must have a great experience and I assume you mastered the art already, maybe you could impart some of your knowledge to us aspiring photographers?hehe it would really be a big help! ..hmm a Canon camera! got to try that someday, as of now I'll stick to my gears..salamat for the information about Canon camera.

..hmm a Canon camera! got to try that someday, as of now I'll stick to my gears..salamat for the information about Canon camera. _______________________________________________ Youīre right there SmallTimeBlues!!! I believe that it donīt really matter if we use different brands of Camera. What matters most is the focus of the person getting the shot. We are all different people capturing our subject. What I suggest to beginners who wish to learn real photography is to satart by turning their long lense or zoom camera into a manual manipulation (may it be of any brand). I advised this as a basic tip in order to identify how one gets his/her focus. If you start in the manual format means are giving your self the chance to manipulate the camera manually. Through this you learn to FOCUS. In this way you learn to use the camera lense manually. Take good pictures from the manual format, save it. Then try capturing same shots on the automatic set-up of the camera. Compare your shots afterwards. You might find out that your manual shots is better than those taken on the automatic mode. This age uses all hightech gears in photography but each one is unique on his/her way. One maybe born an artist on this field of photography but without knowing it. I believe that human PULSE has something to do with photography. Do you believe so? just asking.... |

wen sir Yang-ew!, its true that it is not about the camera or what brand name we use!..as one famous photographer quotes:'It's not about the camera but the person who's taking the picture that matters" I've seen a lot of photos taken with different kinds of cameras, may it be a point and shoot, slr or dslr, film or digital, or even a camera phone; and the pictures are awesome! ..thank you for sharing your thoughts on manual manipulation, I've been using the auto modes on my cam ever since I acquired my camera, I guess it's time for me to do manual settings. if you say the human PULSE has something to do with photography, are you referring to the Artistic instinct of the person?..If so I believe that it is the human PULSE that captures great photos!

I do agree that the brand of camera doesn't really affect the shots we take but the kind of camera whether we like it or not it has subtle effects on the shots we would like to take. Take this for example, having a camera that uses film will make the photographer limit his/her shots to take since film and developing is too expensive not unless the person is rich enough to carry around too as many films as he/she want and be able to have it developed without any financial exhaustion. A point and shoot camera can't take a photo with selective coloring not unless the photographer edits the photo in a photo manipulation software. A photographer cannot print an A4 sized photo because he/she is using a 2-Megapixel camera. ^^ BUT it doesn't mean that you cannot take pretty shots with the use of your camera, whatever it is. All I want to say is that there are some limitations of some cameras and any shortage provided by the camera should be provided by the photographer. BE CREATIVE. ^^ Don't blame the camera, blame the photographer. ^^ P.S. I personally advise other people to get the most of the camera their holding and no to wish for better ones. Don't take me as an example, I am very eager to change my SLR-like camera to a DSLR when in fact I am still beginning to get the hang of it, tsktsk. Great inputs guys! thanks for sharing. Everybody can be good at this photography stuff but you really got to earn it from your own effort to learn. Yup! about the human PULSE? I believe it! I had an office mate before whom I teached basic photography. I advised her to handle and man the camera so in cases of my absence, she knows how to handle photo documentation. I was suprised when l reviewed the shots she took in one of her field assignment. WOW! It was impressive!!! I discovered some pictures taken when she was aboard a moving vehicle but she still got an awesome shots. These are things quite interesting in a person when he/she is just a first timer. I believe nasa ĻpulsoĻ din yan! Especially when it comes to moving objects. Iīve been through many trials taking real good shots until I finally had a good one. Itīs a great deal to concetrate on focus. Pinapakiramdaman mu rin yan before you press the CLICK button. Edited by yang-ew, Mon 26 Jan 2009 04:11:28.
