Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has blasted the Chelsea board for not showing him the same backing that Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger receive from their respective boards. The Portuguese boss believes if it was down to the fans, Mourinho would have a job at Stamford Bridge for life, even if they dont win the league every year. "Sir Alex Ferguson was at Manchester United for a lot of years without winning titles and he continues," Mourinho said. "Arsene Wenger's already in his third year without winning titles and continues in his work. If it were for the fans I'd have a contract for 20 years and I'd continue working without a problem. "They never left Stamford Bridge crying because we never lost [in the league]. The day they lose a match at home they will remember they were three years without losing a single league game there." |

Jose Mourinho's return to football could be with Italian giants Juventus, replacing Claudio Ranieri, the man he succeeded at Chelsea. Mourinho is on holiday in the United States with his family and will then head to Malaysia on a business trip before considering his future. Juventus returned to Serie A this season after just a year's absence following their demotion as a result of a match-fixing scandal. Under Ranieri, they have made a decent start but, given they are playing catch-up financially, they remain behind the Milan clubs in resources. That will change and they see Mourinho as the man to take them forward. |

Jose Mourinho has blamed owner Roman Abramovich for Chelsea's failure to win the Champions League last season. Chelsea, who face Valencia tomorrow, went out to Liverpool on penalties in the semi-finals but Mourinho says Abramovich failed to sign the players needed during the transfer window. Mourinho, who left Chelsea 12 days ago, said: 'When we needed help to get a bit further, that help was denied us around December- January time.' |

England coach Steve McClaren insists he will miss Jose Mourinho. As the former boss of his captain John Terry, plus key squad men Frank Lampard and Joe Cole, McClaren worked closely with Mourinho and forged a close relationship with the former Chelsea boss. Yet their friendship dated back to McClaren’s days as a club boss at Middlesbrough. So, while McClaren is anxious not to get into the rights and wrongs of Roman Abramovich’s decision to axe Mourinho in favour of Avram Grant, he knows the controversial Portuguese coach will leave a big gap in English football. McClaren said: “Even when I was manager of Middlesbrough I thought he was good for the game. |

So just how did Mourinho manage to incite the fury and at the same time resurrect the ailing political career of former Portuguese Prime Minister, Santana Lopes? Lopes had been invited by Portugal’s leading TV news channel, SIC Notícias, to comment on the leadership election of the opposition Social Democratic Party. The former Premier was in full flow when the presenter abruptly cut him short, informing her guest and viewers that Jose Mourinho had just departed from his plane at Lisbon airport. There followed a shaky set of live images of a nonplussed Mourinho getting into a car and speeding off into the night, leaving in his wake a hoard of reporters vainly trying to obtain some indication of the coach’s future plans. When SIC Notícias switched back to the studio a furious Santana Lopes stormed out of the interview, sarcastically stating that the sight of Jose Mourinho stepping into a car was a far more pressing issue than discussing the country’s political future. |

The News: Posted Image LOVE-RAT football boss Jose Mourinho faces TWO MORE bombshell claims of affairs, We told last week how the ex-Chelsea manager lived with shop girl Elsa Sousa behind his wife’s back. Details of the affair form part of a legal investigation in Mourinho’s native Portugal after they were left out of a tell-all book. Now it has emerged that damaging claims of two other relationships with women were dropped from the book by Carolina Salgado. She is the former girlfriend of Pinto da Costa, president of FC Porto, a Portuguese club Mourinho, 44, coached. Meanwhile blonde Elsa, 34, has told how Mourinho, called The Special One, fed her chocolate-chip cookies as they romped – while playing Bryan Adams’ hit Everything I Do, I Do It For You. She also claimed the dad of two promised to leave his wife Matilde for her. Elsa said: “I loved Jose very much. The chemistry between us was electrifying. He was very gentle, sweet and attentive.” Matilde had no idea she shared her husband with another woman. My Say: Take care of your wives......No guarantee from our former Blues Boss :hide: |

Jose Mourinho and his agent Jorge Mendez have reportedly had a meeting with Valencia chairman Juan Soler regarding the coaching position at El Mestalla, according to the Spanish press. The Charismatic Mourinho left Chelsea by mutual agreement in September after a disappointing start to the new Premier League season. The Portuguese manager has been linked to a number of clubs including Milan, and could join La Liga title contenders Valencia in the near future if reports in Spain are to be believed. Valencia manager Quique Sanchez Flores could be replaced by Mourinho despite the fact that the Che are third in La Liga, a point away from leaders Real Madrid, but the Champions League defeat against Rosenborg has not been appreciated by Soler who has great expectations for his team. Former Porto and Chelsea boss Mourinho could have to wait until the end of the season to take over at Valencia, though, when Flores’ contract will have expired. |

Guillem Balague reckons Jose Mourinho has turned down the chance to become Valencia boss, paving the way for Ronald Koeman's return to La Liga. Guillem feels Valencia will look to secure a big-name boss after sacking Quique Sanchez Flores at the weekend - and the likes of Mourinho, Vicente del Bosque and Marcello Lippi were all in the frame. |

Barcelona have made contact with former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho about taking over from Frank Rijkaard. The Daily Mail says Barcelona president Joan Laporta has sounded out Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes about the possibility of the former Chelsea boss taking over from Frank Rijkaard at the Nou Camp. Laporta moved following a string of poor performances and growing support in newspaper opinion polls for Mourinho. |

Jose Mourinho is being lined up by Barcelona to replace Frank Rijkaard in the summer. The Sunday Mirror says Catalan giants accept that Frank Rijkaard's reign as coach looks certain to end at the end of this season. Given Barca trail arch-rivals Real Madrid in La Liga, it will take a Champions League triumph to ensure Rijkaard stays in charge at the Nou Camp. Barca are preparing a huge war-chest to help recruit free agent Mourinho and set him up with a fund to ensure the world's best players want to sign for them. |

The former Porto boss also confirmed there was no clause upon his departure from Stamford Bridge that would prevent him joining another Premier League club this summer. "A lot of people were saying I had in my contract that I couldn't work in England for two years, three years, four years - it is completely untrue," Mourinho continued. "Legally, I'm in a condition to work in England again. "I would prefer, in spite of I love English football, not to go directly from Chelsea to another English club, but if it has to be, it has to be." |
