Txiki Berguiristain, Barcelona’s sport director has moved quickly to deny the speculation.

"We do not want to sell him," Berguiristain told Catalunya Radio. "Ronaldinho is our player and I am totally convinced that he will remain at the club.

Joe Cole's future at Chelski is reportedly in doubt after a shouting match with Jose Mourinho last weekend.

Cole has not started a league game for Mourinho's side yet this season, despite starting England's friendly against Germany.

And the Daily Mail reports that the pair argued about the midfielder's role in the side after Chelski's match with Portsmouth, in which Cole only played 15 minutes.

Cole's lack of chances so far this term led to him questioning whether he is in Mourinho's plans, to which the Portuguese boss replied that he has not merited a place in his starting line-up so far.

The Mail claims that the argument was such that chief executive Peter Kenyon had to be called in as a peacemaker.

Despite the bust-up, Chelski are reportedly unwilling to sell the midfielder, but nevertheless former club West Ham are keeping tabs on the situation.

Cole joined Chelski from West Ham for £6.6million in 2003, and the Hammers are one of the only clubs who could pay his £80,000-a-week wages.

According to the Mail, 'sources at the club' claim their relationship is 'strange', and that Cole is unsure about his role - if any - in the side.
...........................

I hope this goes here.

I would hate to see J C go

jose has made him imo, I cant see his leaving over a row. If there even was one.

I hope its paper talk.

Joe Cole is one of my favourite non-United players. He's got great technical ability, is entertaining to watch and is one of England's few really good players.

I keep trying to sign him on Football Manager but Mourinho wouldn't even entertain the idea until the cheeky bastard asked for Ronaldo in a swap deal!

not comical but its going here anyway.

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has admitted there could be transfer activity within the club before the summer window closes tonight - but it is likely to be an exit rather than the arrival of another big name.

Speculation about a possible move for Barcelona's Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho was yesterday quashed by Kenyon, speaking at the Champions League draw in Monaco where the Blues were pitted against Valencia, Schalke and Rosenborg in Group B.

A move for Porto winger Ricardo Quaresma was also mooted but Kenyon insists the club's incoming signings are complete for the time being.

He did concede, though, that defender Glen Johnson could be on his way out of the club.

Johnson spent last season on loan at Portsmouth and has seen extra competition for the right-back spot in the shape of Juliano Belletti who has arrived from Barcelona.

Kenyon said: "Our (buying) plans are complete but there may be a couple of players leaving.

"That will become evident within the next 24 hours. Glen may be one of those who is looking to move on."

..........

well Glen has gone I wonder who else is leaving

I hope its not Joe Cole
