Thank you Chelsea from the kids of Austria!
Premier League Chelsea

I teach kids in Austria and we had a school trip to London, the kids wanted to visit a premiership ground on the visit. As the kids come from farming communities they really dont have a lot of money so i contacted Chelsea and Arsenal to try and blagg a discount. To Chelseas honor they came up with 30 free stadium tickets worth about £300 alltogether, the kids had a great time looking round the dressing rooms and stuff!

On the flip side of the coin Arsenal offered nothing and didnt even get back to us after the first phone call, i guess disadvantaged kids are not their priority.

Now, i dont want to totally give Chelsea too much respect (i would of taken the kids to Ewood Park if i had my choice) but well done for stepping up and doing something good for someone, cheers, or as we say in Austria, Danke schon!

What a stupid statement.
I bet Arsenal get inundated with these requests. You can't honour them all.

Can you imagine if United answered positively to every request from a charity / organisation?

You never get anything in life for free. I'm now waiting for the headline...

'Sworn enemy of Abramovich gunned down by Austrian school teacher'

Nah, only joking. That was very good of Chelsea to do that. I'm sure many clubs would have taken Arsenal's approach and just ignored them. Bravo

Believe it or not, its written into every Chelsea players contract that they have to do so much charity work. I'm sure its not an awful lot & i'm sure all the other premiership teams do their bit too, but that was actually one of the reasons gallas wanted out of Chelsea - he just flat refused to do any.

they were then encouraged to spend a months wages in the chelsea gift shop :nerner:
