"AURELIO RETURNS TO ACTION
Paul Eaton 11 September 2007

Fabio Aurelio has made his return to competitive action in a behind closed doors reserve team friendly against Crewe today.
The Brazilian snapped his achilles tendon during last season's Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven but is now closing in on a first team comeback.

"He's been training well and now we think he is ready. It's positive news to have him back," said manager Rafael Benitez."

Let's hope that's the end of his injury problems as just before this last one he was starting to look like a top player but his history of breaking down dosen't fill me with confidence.
Here's hoping I'm worng :ale:

"AURELIO BACK AS RESERVES BEAT CREWE
Jimmy Rice 11 September 2007

Fabio Aurelio made his return to action as Liverpool Reserves beat Crewe Alexandra Reserves 2-1 at the Academy this afternoon.
The Brazilian, who had not featured since injuring his Achilles tendon against PSV in April, played 45 minutes of the friendly alongside a host of first-teamers.

Goals from Xabi Alonso and Ray Putterill either side of the break secured victory in front of the watching Rafa Benitez."

Xabi playing for the reserves?
Odd.

Hang em first. Question em later.
Xabit played at centre back as well.

Fabio look in good shape, assured on the ball and ready to run at players. Linked up with some good passing.

Dani Pachecho (lad we signed from Barco) played up front in the second half and is looking good. Showed good movement, wanted the ball and has good control with both feet.

Plessis also played in the second half, he looks tall and didn't really do much wrong.
