We had 20 chances and scored one goal. That means we needed 40 chances to score two. And 60 chances to score three, but we cannot create 60 chances in 90 minutes. Rosenborg did what all smaller teams do, but we must be ready for that.'

It is a disastrous start to the Champions League campaign for Mourinho's side and jubilant Rosenborg coach Knut Torum even predicted victory for his side when they meet in Norway on November 28.

Torum said: 'We can beat them. The last time Chelsea came to Norway, it was the middle of the winter and they lost.'

That was in 1997, when they were beaten by Tromso, but Mourinho's problems are more immediate.

well we did not score as we should have, but we were not overpowered by them.

I really cant understand why the Tromso game was allowed to go on, you could not see the pitch, lines anything, could not see the payers half the time. That was a joke.

we also lost against Viking Stavanger 4-2 in Norway in 2002
