Manchester United star Owen Hargreaves hopes to return to action for Sunday's match against Chelsea.

The 26-year-old pulled out of the recent England double-header with a thigh strain and also sat out Saturday's Barclays Premier League win at Everton.

He was unable to train on Monday morning and now appears to setting his sights on the weekend game with the Blues at Old Trafford instead.

"It's okay, I have never really had this injury before so this is new territory," said the midfielder.

Always business,never personal.
The best result from a Liverpool point of view would be a draw as I expect us to beat B'Ham (even thought they'll do a bus job at Anfield) so it'll give us a bit more breathing room.

I can't see there being more than one goal in this.

It'll probably end 0-0. Stalemate. Unfortunately.

Yeah, it’s not like either team are banging them in for fun at the mo. What’s the betting on a 5-5? :joker: :boobs:

o-o, plenty of red cards, season ending injuries (tho not career threatening), fighting managers, lots of controversy, points docked and massive fines..............what more could a neutral want ? :congrats:

I think a lot depends on whether Lampard and/or Drogba play - if either or both do, I'd expect Chelsea to have a go. But if they don't I think it'll be a safety first display and they'll park the bus and at the moment United don't seem to have the keys to the ignition.

Shame really, because at their best both sides could make it a great game.
