That was probably the hardest game of your group so a 1-1 draw is an excellent result.
If you win your home games now you'll be through to the knock outs as you only need ten points to qualify

I think in the context of things 1-1 is an excellent result away to the side that will probably be our main competition in the group this year. It's just if you watched it the performance was poor, worse then Saturdays and I am worrying about it.

But for now we're in an excellent position, unbreached from open play and just two points of the the premier league summit. The performances might not be coming but we are getting results and at the end of the day thats what we want.

Now on getting just ten points I agree to an extent thats all you need as the important thing is qualifying. But when a team like ours wants to win the champions league you've got to win the group to A)show the other teams we mean business and B)get a chance of facing the "lesser" teams who finish second. So I'd think we need more then ten points.

Watched your game last night and i thought you played really well, even when you went down to 10 i still thought you were not likely to concede another goal, well done and on to the next game, good luck hope you can keep it going.. "thumb"

the fact benitez rested some key players on the weekend, and got a draw, and now again another draw, i think they would be very upset about this ...

now that he has good players, is benitez cracking?

I would say no. This isn't like when Houllier's team imploded because these players haven't turned garbage overnight.

I'd hardly take two draws as a sign Rafa is cracking. These are games a year ago we would have lost if we had played so badly, so it is actually an improvement.

Please remember we have yet to concede a goal from open play this season.

I'll only worry if we lose or draw against Birmingham, and I don't think that is likely.

When did he say that?? I must have missed it.

He's saying that last seasonwe would probably have lost those games and that we have not conceded a goal in open play in 8 games.

The title is still to play for and that 3 points against brum on Saturday puts us right back in it.

Right back in it? when were we out of it? We drew at Pompey so we dropped down to 3rd, just 2 points back! We've never been out of it!

As for last night, the result 1-1 is a very good result but the performance was poor at best, Kuyt aside, so I guess we should just be thankful we got a point from a tough game.

Oh, and as for Benitez cracking I hardly think 2 draws is a slump especially looking at the opposition. Lets not forget we are still unbeaten this season.

EDIT: Missed the last bit, sorry!
