Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Avram Grant and Steve Clarke will be in charge of the first team from today (Thursday).

The club is delighted that in Avram we have an experienced man who can come in immediately at this difficult time to help deliver our objectives.

In Steve we have a Chelsea man and he will be a crucial part of the management team going forward.

Avram and Steve have our full confidence and support.

Well if the press and the other rumour merchant's are believed then this is what Roman wanted from the off.
This way it gives Grant time to bed in (if he becomes full-time manager) but he dosen't get the chance to mess it all up before The Manc game as the team are used to Clarke and won't have to make any dramatic tactical changes bvefore a vital game.
Well that's my humble opinion anyway.

Maybe,maybe not.
But it does make you wonder how many manager's of top quality will be willing to put up with a Director of Football.

read an interesting post on another site which was saying that maybe jose has taken chelsea as far as they can go, in terms of the global marketing of the team, they may be winners but are percieved as being dour, super fit fighters who lack creativity and spark. and this is not a trait that will bring you world wide admiration in the same viens as some of the top spanish clubs or manu and even (cough) the lpool teams of the 70s/80s ('istoree). now that jose has established chelsea as a team that can win things, they now need a manager than can attract supporters with free flowing exciting football.

what do you think? pile of crap or some sense to it...please don't shoot the messenger :stress:

im not sure

you see cfc fans are happy with a win, not to fussed how.

Look at Arsenal...play great app... but I would have rather won the EPL twice than say

"wow, great game, shame we lost"

and as for other fans. who cares if neutrals enjoy watching it.
