...Anderson should be first choice? We don't have Scholes until next year, maybe April/March time, So it's probably between him and Carrick to play alongside OH at least until then, but I compare him to Fabregas because the circumstances are similar, young, raw talented centre-mid with an excellent passing game, and I think it's safe to say how much playing week-in week-out has benefited Fab and Arsenal? I think with a little more confidence Anderson could really go places :chin: I say this because I have a feeling Carrick will play from the start sooner rather than later, don't get me wrong I am a fan of Carrick, I just think he's more of an alternative to Hargreaves, rather than Scholes, because this season he's looked lost trying to play a more attacking role  |

Hold on a minute. How do you know he was waving the card and saying book the Arsenal player. I thought he was waving the card and putting 2 fingers up saying you've booked two of our players (-> show some consistency). Surely a player is correct pointing out to the ref that he has already booked 2 utd players. Maybe Anderson hasn't the best English in the world and has to use gestures like holding card + holding up 2 fingers, rather than just saying it in English? |

Yeah, but I think he was correct pointing out to the referee that he had already booked 2 Utd players? What is wrong with asking the ref to be consistent? |

I'm hoping that Scholes will be back in January but I agree that Anderson should be allowed to fill in for now. He has been impressive in the short time he has been with the club and playing games can only help him improve. I am still interested to see how a Carrick/Hargreaves partnership would work but Fergie needs to pick the right games for this. They are both primarily defensive midfield players (although Carrick's passing can create chances) so perhaps Fergie will try it against a physical team/5 man midfield/away from home etc. |
