Bloody typical that they put this game back to a Monday as I'm working tonight. Still, let's hope we can recaptire the kind of form we were showing when we thumped Blackburn before the international break. I'm predicting either 3-0 or 3-1 |

Louis Saha has declared himself injury free and hungry for goals. The Manchester United forward has been plagued by fitness problems almost since the day he moved to Old Trafford from Fulham three years ago. Although Saha has suffered muscular injuries, the main worry has been his dodgy knees, which have let him down so frequently, one leading Red Devils fanzine has unkindly dubbed the Frenchman 'Balsa Man'. However, while Sir Alex Ferguson has declared his preference to take a softly-softly attitude with the former Fulham man, who is set to be part of the United squad that faces his old club at Old Trafford tonight, Saha is confident his past problems are behind him. "It has been difficult but I am injury-free now," he said. "A cartilage problem is always difficult. It seemed a bit dangerous and I was a bit worried at one point because it is never good to play with a swollen knee. "But I am clear of it now. The manager is doing the right thing and I am trying to forget about it." At least Saha has been able to step into the breach during Wayne Rooney's recent absence, although now the youngster has recovered from his own ankle injury, the 28-year-old might find himself on the bench, with Ferguson using his pace and power for added impact late in the contest if things are not going well for his team. Saha is cautious about placing too much expectation on himself so early into his comeback. Yet he knows a goal - he has not scored since netting the winner against Sunderland in September - would work wonders for his confidence. "Goals are the main part of the game for any striker and it would really help me if I could get one," he said. "I am hungry for goals and the good thing about being in this team is that you know we will always create chances." Having dropped to fourth - behind Chelsea and Liverpool and six points adrift of leaders Arsenal - over the weekend, United cannot afford to slip up against the Cottagers. Last weekend's surprise loss at Bolton has given Ferguson's side little leeway leading up to the Festive period. "It is imperative to get a result," said Saha. "We know it will be hard against them, it always is. But after what happened against Bolton, we are in a bad position and we have to react." |

Hmm...

He planned to dive before he even got to Niemi then, if he'd have stayed on his feet he may have got to the ball first, having said that Niemi did go diving in and got nowhere near the ball, so if Ronaldo had carried on running it would have been a straight red  Socco...how many players have you seen that are as technically gifted as Anderson, but also never stop for 90mins? the kids work rate and talent are excellent, just a shame he sees passes before the rest of the team do  His potential is amazing though "thumb" |

Are you serious? In recent games he has been our best player as he was today. Even the 5 Alive pundits were praising him earlier. |

What the fuck are you on about? The guy is phenomenal. He makes passes that most other players would never see. Why don't you try watching him with an open mind. |

Oh Denis don't be angry, I just thought he lacked pace and was scared to take people on  He may be better than I think, but for me based on that game alone I didn't think he was all that :wink2: |

He plays in Centre-mid, that's why, more a Scholes-type "thumb" Maybe when he gets confidence he will take people on, but for now i'm happy with him dictating play, we seem to play at a much faster pace with him doing that :ale: |

Hargreaves dictated more than him. His pass completion rate was phenominal
 Anderson may be good fella, look at Hleb in his first season, wasn't all that, but now easily one of the best in the Prem :wink2: |

If you watch Anderson in his Porto days he did take players on but at Utd (so far) he has been playing deeper dicatating the play and setting up attacks |

Well to be honest, for a 19 year old Brazilian kid from the Portuguese league to be thrown in one of the most important positions for a team battling for the title he's impressed me greatly, given alot of previous South American players track records over here :chin: To be fair, I was expecting 18 months of 'he's a flop' until he'd settled in, but he's not afraid to put a challenge in  |
