REDS UNCHANGED AGAINST UNITED Paul Hassall at Anfield 16 December 2007 Rafael Benitez has named an unchanged side for the mouthwatering Sunday lunchtime clash with Manchester United at Anfield. It means the Reds boss keeps faith with the team that overwhelmed Marseille in the Champions League on Tuesday, with Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt continuing to lead the attack. There are also places on the bench for Lucas Leiva and Fabio Aurelio as Liverpool go in search of their first league win at home against Alex Fergusons' men since November 2001. Liverpool team in full: Reina, Arbeloa, Riise, Hyypia, Carragher, Mascherano, Gerrard, Benayoun, Kewell, Torres, Kuyt. Subs: Itandje, Babel, Crouch, Aurelio, Lucas. |

And rotation does seem to cover all changes - whether enforced through injury or suspension, or tactical. It's an easy stick to beat the manager with, but only when we lose a game. Less comment on rotation when we're beating teams 4-0, 4-1, 3-0.... Oh hang on, they can't use that one this time - what will it be instead?! Journos now having to think, scary stuff... Oh no, it'll be "zonal marking" this time won't it? Not heard that one for a while, probably all the clean sheets we've been keeping whilst employing that method...! |

Future Oscar winner!

Just read in one paper - that we lost because we didn't rotate. The same paper has been going on about Rafa rotating too much for months.
 :tosser: Goes to show - media/journalist are all know-nothing-gobsh*tes! They seem determined to get Rafa fired. :bat: The other one they are using a lot is Formation - Rafa was slaughtered for the formation he used against Reading, but strangely they didn't mention he'd used that formation against Newscastle. I guess the 3-0 win didn't sit well with their arguments. |
