Hang em first. Question em later.

So he hasn't been sacked as the media have been speculating/hoping over the past month or so. Quite disapointing really, to have all the build up and nothing happens. I suppose they'll class it as a 'stay of execution' now and drag the same stories out into the summer. I was reading the Daily Mail (didn't buy it, it was the one free paper available at work while on my break) the day after the Marsielle game. In it was a story about Marcello Lippi being the next Liverpool manager. What was this story based on? The fact that Marcello Lippi was in the ground that night, he was working for Italian tv a fact mentioned once and easily tossed to the side with the imagination working in overdrive for the writer. |

Sounds like bollocks to me... Net spend was closer to £22m or something, but don't the facts cloud your tabloid-informed opinion eh? :ale: :ale: |

I ain't taking the piss fella :chin: So you only bought Torres then this season :chin: Do you think you should be doing better? If it was your cash would you expect better? Points/prizes/positions all equal money, you have been bankrolled to bring them in, my point is that surely you should be up top or at least 2nd :chin: |

Ok.... We only bought Torres? What? Where did I say that? It's not my cash, it's the cash of a couple of guys who have invested in sports teams before, and from what I've seen and heard, accept and appreciate the complexities of the game from the people who know it - the manager, Rick Parry, the key players and, now, the fans. I'll ignore the "you should be top or at least 2nd" comment, you're either an intelligent fella who's just fishing, or a simple dumbass who believes what he's posting... |

Iam happy enough to support Utd thanks. Its the same at Utd if Glazer thinks Fergie cant take the club forward he will be let go. Come to think of it its the same at all clubs. Would you not agree? |

So when your season began, you didn't think that with all the expenditure you would be right in the mix. As I thought, fuck Henry has gone we are doomed :chin: I don't believe your season is over and I don't believe we will win it in all honesty :chin: And on a final point, my "If it was your money" question was purely aimed at the fact that the Americans will surely want those prizes that make it a viable business venture :chin: |

I think Rafa will stay, I think the owners know Rafa will stay, I think the only people who don't are ill-informed idiots. |

Their in it for the money not the love of the game or the love of the team. People need to realise that it is just a business venture |

So do you agree with my point that the owners will make a descion at the end of the year and see how far Rafa has got them and how far he will bring them? |

Christ this gets boring. As I've said... hmmmm about a dozen times on here, if we're up there in the mix this season I'll be happy, within reasonable reach going into the last month. I never thought we'd win it this season. I actually said I think you'd better than most expected because Wenger is a damn fine manager who has the club set up for the long-term, with great athletes and technical footballers, and you could deal with the loss of the ego of Henry better than people gave you credit for. Stick to reading the Star if you want to join the Rafa's on his way bandwagon... He's not... |

I don't think it's a decision that will change on the basis of this season. |

So, if you win fuck all, do you really believe that Rafa will get more spending money to build a stronger team in the Summer? Sorry mate, I think if he doesn't bring at least one big trophy in he's fucked IMO. Ill informed idiot, no, realist, yes  |
