League Two
Our push for the title gets back on track today. We cannot be complacent and we must forget about the games that have gone. There will be twists and turns for other clubs and we must grasp the opportunity when it comes our way.
The Inter games will be interesting for both clubs. We are not an easy team to play against in CL and although they are topping their domestic league Inter will be wary of the Red Men.
I do think Crouch should have kept his comments out of the press he has done himself and the club no favours with his remarks. Intent is seen as bad as actual contact with 2 footed challenges.
It will be interesing to see what happens in the Jan sales. Do we need Masher enough to pay the reported £17mill I have my doubts. Although not in his league Lucas has shown he could develope into a simillar role, I wait to be shot down. I do think we need more offensive players, left wing and striker, if we get any players at all. Dont be surprised if things stay the same until the off season when H/G may reflect on the season and provide some cash .

Crouch was justified with his remarks imo. It was a definite red card and he has no excuses in that respect, but he's right to label Mikel in the way he did.

As for players needed. Agreed on the left wing and striker, but more than that we need a CB cover. A right winger would also be beneficial.

I'd like Masher to stay - Sissoko is the one who should go. I agree on Lucas as well - I think the lad has tremendous potential. As does Babel, who I'd like to see used as a second striker played just behind Torres.

I think we also need to wave goodbye to some: Kuyt, Voronin, Sissoko must go. Longer term I also think Benayoun needs to go. I'm not knocking any of them for effort - they just don't have the quality required.

As for Inter, I think it's the hardest draw we could have got. It is winnable and has to be the tie of the round for neutrals as well.

The game today is now a must win - as are they all from now on in if we are to have any hope at all of mounting a realistic challenge.
