i would much rather see the 15 mill spent on wide players and allow Babel to play as a striker which is undoubtedly his favoured position as everytime he plays instead of cutting wide and delivering a cross he cuts back inside and tries to go for goal.. wouldn't mind seeing babel and torres have a crack at it tbh

I think the way babel is being used by rafa is spot on at the moment , easing him in gently , putting him up front with torres may put a lot more pressure on the lad .

Man City are technically bigger than you lot at the minute. In EPL points terms  ;)

I thought we should have bought him last time, but I wouldn't want him now. As has been pointed out he's 28 and hops clubs like nobody's business.

He's apparently not a "le sulk" character, more just a quiet lad who's professional, gets on with it but doesn't really enjoy the banter. I can see why Stevie G got on with him and Fowler didn't tbh.

But we have Torres, who is a similar type of player. He'd be perfect for Chelsea because they have a big powerful front man in Drogba, and Anelka would be a perfect quick pacy foil for him.

We need a Drogba/Fowler type character to play alongside Torres. I thought for a long time that might be Kuyt, but he's looking more and more like a supplier who just isn't there to finish.
