how many years of being ordinary have the bluenoses had to deal with ? Ten years ? Twenty years ? When was the last time silverware arrived at woodison ? We are playing very poor at the moment yet still about the blueshite lol

Ooooh hark at her

Not going to deny that we have had years of being ordinary, but then we haven't been throwing cash around like nobodies business...

Credit where credit is due, your record in the Champions League can't be argued with, but when was the last time you were serious title contenders? Given the amount of money spent would you not have expected more?

an average outlay minus sales off 20 mil a year over 4 years with rafa . And think compared to the spending off other clubs we are in the right position . Both man utd and chelsea spent more over that period so hence above us . When we spend as much as them maybe we might be up with them or even above them. Who knows .

Even after transfers out your spending still comes t something like + £40mill over the last 3 - 4 years.. Pretty sure that's more than Utd, definitely more than Arsenal.. So surely when your sending that amount of money you would expect to be fighting for the title rather than battling for 3rd/4th each season??

I know I would be...

If you want to put it in to perspective, Liverpool spent around £27mill on Torres..

For the same amount of money Everton have bought: Arteta, Cahill, Johnson, Yakubu, Stubbs and potentially Pienaar

and im sure they do a great job for you but wouldnt swap any of them for any off our players - maybe have arteta as a back up player but thats about it really . and fee for torres was around 20 mil mate

Your joking, right?

You would have Arteta as a back up, for who?? Pennant?!?!

What natural wide players have you got who are better than Arteta?

Also Cahill, one of the best scoring midfielders in the league, would be a massive asset to any club..

Yakubu.. Nooo, why would you want a 20+ a season striker..

AJ, maybe doesn't score as many as he should but his work rate is 2nd to none..

No im not joking at all , cahill instead off gerrard ( are goalscoring midfielder ) no thanks

AJ workrate = kuyt plus kuyt scores more

Yakubu= torres , no contest there really

Like i said i would take arteta as a squad player , pennant provides more natural width , yeah he maybe not a creative as arteta so would have arteta as a squad player .

Maybe the only player would take for a starting place for liverpool would be Lescott as a left back. :redscarf:

Fella!! Have I just read it right? Did you just try to tell me that Pennant is a better player than Arteta?!?! :lmao:

I didn't say Cahill would replace Gerrard, just that he would be an asset to all clubs..

Yakubu.. You only need one 20+ goal scorer?

All clubs would suffer if they were missing a couple of top players, not saying it's just Liverpool who would...

i said that pennant offers more width and pace but arteta is more creative .

yeah would like another 20 goal striker but someone better than yakubu , hopefully our sights are set a lot higher than that

yeah im sure cahill would be an assest to all clubs but think he is at the right club now - wouldnt get into the starting line up off any of the top floor and god i hate that celebration :handbags:

certainly cant agrue with that stats mate , he has put the ball away well but would look for someone along the same lines of ability as Torres,Droga,Etoo,Villa as a second striker money permitting .

What you say regarding the striker issue makes no sense at all!

You say that AJ = Kuyt and that Yakubu = Torres...but why doesn't AJ = Torres and Yakubu = Kuyt? Because on that basis, Yakubu is the second best striker there.

You're being a bit, "I hate the BS no matter what like" when immediately dismissing Cahill and Arteta as well. I'd much prefer Arteta in a wide position than I would Kewell or Pennant or Riise.

Oh hello, got a fiesty one here...

The reason I called you a fool is down to the fact that you see a question from an Evertonian regarding Liverpool and instantly condemn it as a wind up when all you needed to do was to read the rest of the thread and you would clearly see that it isn't a wind up..

To answer your totally irrelevant question.. Since Rafa has been in charge of your lot we haven't won anything, nothing, nada, zip.. BUT we are now a side on the up with arguably the best side outside the 'big 4', we are a side who are expected to qualify for Europe each season... Considering the position we were in before Moyes took over I'd say that's an awesome turn around...

But I ask you, how much money have you thrown at players compared to us? When was the last time you were a serious contender for the league?

Have to say, it always makes me laugh when people like you come out with the 'bitters' line as your the one who comes out looking bitter...

Have to say, it always makes me laugh when people like you come out with the 'bitters' line as your the one who comes out looking bitter...

not interested in whos spent what

trophies pal is all im worried about

concentrate on whats irrelevant if ya like

Questions avoided nicely...

very poor attempt at a wind up

seen the same post a couple of times

not sure why the finger was pointed a g

0/10 for the bitter

Read through the thread, you will quickly see that it isn't an attempted wind up.... Fool

ah play ground name calling it hurts me so dummy:

tis the same post on many a board

heres a simple question for my blue nose pal

since rafa has been in charge who has won more us reds or u bitters?

i repeat forever in our shadow

And I bet you never uttered a word of discontent when Chelsea became Chelski and started buying whoever they wanted did you...

Forgot about the Oldham slip up.. Obviously your right then.. That 1 game quite clearly shows the lack of progress we have made.. Never mind the fact we are back in europe again, fighting it out at the top end of the table, have one of the best young managers around who may I add has been voted LMA Manager of the season twice with us...

Lets just hope Liverpool never get a bad result in case it undoes all the work Rafa has done.. Never know, if you lose to a really bad team that Champions league win might not count anymore...
