yakubu's a poor mans cisse
:voddie:
19 goals in season when quite often played out of position
the lad has speed, good touch and one hell of a shot
the yak has hardly been prolific in recent years

ok what is wrong with my opinion then ? Is yakubu not the number one striker at Everton ?Would Cahill get into the starting line up at any off the top four ? Does arteta stay out wide all game giving constant width and never drift inside ?
The fact that a strike partnership of Yakubu and Torres would be rather good I think. Just because he's their number one striker doesn't mean that you can't have him in your team. Do you understand? Arteta is class. He does stick wide, but drifting inside is hardly a hinderance is it? Hasn't stopped that Ronaldo bloke being a bit good. Hasn't stopped that Ronaldinho bloke being a bit good. Not in the same class obviously, but same principles apply. Honestly not trying to wind you up Phil, but can you see where I'm coming from without resorting to a very basic "Is that ok with you" response?
I think we can get someone of a better level than yakubu and thats what i want at liverpool . Have already said would have arteta in squad but wouldnt start every game . when did i say drifting inside was a bad thing and hinders him ? was just showing the difference between him and pennant , would swap arteta for bennayoun maybe but not pennant. what about tiny tim then ?
Wouldn't have seen that one coming to be honest.. Would have thought you'd have preferred Arteta to Pennant rather than Benayoun (sp?).. Quite like Yossi, wouldn't mind him in a Blue shirt..
nah think yossi and arteta are players that are more alike and would prob have arteta over yossi, like i said pennant may not be the best but he offers that pass out wide and on most occasions hugs the touchline .

in fairness yakubu has scored regulary in the prem every season he has been here , think he must of got double figure goal tally every season and would prefer him to voronin for starters , cisse first touch was fecking awful . yeah he had pace , when running offside and had a shot that 7 times out of ten ended up ten yeards high or wide , he didnt seem to have a footballing brain on him , just smash the ball as hard as you can .

There was a time when I would have chuffed to have Pennant at Everton, but not so much anymore.. He's never really lived up to his promise IMO.. Likes the idea of being a bad boy also

read that mate and thats before this season .
this bit stands out
Yakubu is second only to Thierry Henry in terms of Premiership goals over the past four seasons. A formidable, hardworking striker with huge physical presence, the player had an impressive strike rate of 29 goals in 65 league games at Middlesbrough.
can add another 9 already for this season

Nice find, fella.
But going by your mates logic, a lot of those goals were against sides like Bolton or Wigan so they probably don't count..

have always rated him , he can certainly score goals he just seems to go thru phases of not scoring then going on runs of games when he does score . would just prefer someone with the ability level of torres as our next striker.

He does tend to go missing in games every now and then, can't deny that.. But the to be fair he's there to get goals and as long as he's doing that I'm happy.. We have the likes of AJ, Vaughan and Anichebe who can do the running

Here's a question then - if Yakubu is so good, why the fuck is he at Everton?!
And why no clamour whatsoever to sign him??
