To be honest, I think most fans would say their teams could do with a couple more players - I know I would! Does anyone else thing this January transfer window is a bit of a damp squib?
January transfer window is rubbish, I've said it several times before. Nobody wants to sell top players because it could derail their season halfway through, and as a result nobody can buy top players for that reason. I think Anelka is a rare exception - a player far better than the club he was playing for so was able to move in a mutually acceptable move. Other than that it's just lower league clubs selling to struggling Premier league clubs it seems..
Or this year, QPR buying everything they can.......
Yeh, that too! Didn't their owner say they'd be in the Champions League in 4 years?!
Their new owner makes Abramovitch look like a roadsweeper. He's one of the richest men in the world.
Lakshmi Mittal. Indian steel baron. But he's working with Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone so I don't know if there's going to be one sole investor, as Abramovich is in Chelsea.
All those egos... I reckon it'll go tits up before 3 years is up!

well im glad we got the defender as cover - would of liked to have masher signed up and another option out wide but yeah there hasnt been much really apart from anelka - dont think the jan window is working out that well tbh , most teams doing there spending in the summer now .
Isn't Mascherano meant to be off to Italy? Fecking Kia. Incidentally, I think Anelka will do well at Chelsea, he seems to have grown up a lot.
its all papaer stuff at the moment tbh , no quotes from masher apart from him wanting to be at liverpool so hopefully will be sewn up soon . yeah your right about anelka i think he is a superb buy for them and would of had him at anfield in a flash at that price . ever since he binned his brothers he seems to have calmed down a lot - KK said he had no probs with him at man city and same with sam at bolton .
His brothers were definitely the problem, I think. It must have been difficult for him to make the break, don't you think?
yeah it must be hard to bin family like that but he was a young lad back then and he seems to be playing better for it as well , back in the french squad as well with no bust ups etc .

QPR will go up next year imo - they're already outspending everyone else and that is a recipe for promotion (the exception to the rule being wolves)

but do they have the attraction to be able to get the big players to get them staying up and challenging ?

true but with arsenal spurs chelsea and west ham already ahead of them in london wouldnt that seem the more attractive club to go to or will they just get the money grabbers ?

Big Mo is not in anywhere near the league of Mittal or Abramovich, and considering the position in the Football League they were in (Divison 2 or 3?) when he took over, I think they were a success actually.

Our players love our club. Wish you'd just accept that.
Every time Ballack pounds the Chelsea badge on his chest, he does it through love, not through his wallet. Shame on you for thinking anything else.

Your post just made me laugh! My other half is a Chelsea fan and he's getting just as cynical about them as you just sounded.

I think the Ballack post was a joke. I might be wrong.
I'm not sure it was serious.
It might have been.
I'm not 100% convinced.

Finger on the pulse as always. Even if the pulse was a fuck off beating drum, some people seem unable, as always, to find it.

The same is true for most clubs. With the cash injections that Man City, Villa (to an extent), West Ham et al are getting, the balance is changing. It's more exciting for the rest of us, even though the top 4 may not agree.
