*shrugs* Protests are continuing to be organised. That's good enough for me and I'll support those protests. No-one's saying you have too. We merely have differing point of views on the issue.

The difference between us and Utd is first, they already HAVE a great big stadium so the loan taken out to buy them bought the club exclusively.

2nd ORN has been given a ton of money to buy players that hasn't been part of those loans to my knowledge.

3rd our beloved owners will need another £300m if they want to finish the stadium, which looks likely to take the form of yet ANOTHER loan, after which our debt might actually start approaching Man Utd levels.

4th, DIC stated any LFC debt they take on would become the debt of the Dubai government as it would be converted to bonds.

so more protests which are going to achieve nothing what so ever . It was stupid enough hearing them all the way thru the last game instead off supporting the players out there . So basically just being like the man utd fans couple off years ago and what happened to those protests ? Did they achieve anythin ? Not a thing . There is money being made available for transfers . 45 mil from what i understand plus money made from sales . How do you know dic wont put any debt onto the club ? They could be just like the yanks at the end off the day . Peoples energy should be focused on supporting the players on the pitch not pointless protests .

Who is carrying on with these 'protests'?
And Why?
The bunch of utd fans left when the Glaziers moved in and what happen, utd carried on and one who complained were forgotten. In a years time this sorry saga will be a foot note in our history - as long as we are in pushing for glory.

Now if we collapse like Leeds then ...oh i don't want to think about it

£45m from the new loan you mean. We're buying players on credit and that's a dangerously slippery slope to start down.

As for DIC they have a track record of investing in sports and being sports fanatics. They also have more than enough money to spare, unlike the American tight-arses.

The Utd protestors shut up because they won the league and they got massive investment in the team. We're going to be buying players on hoc and we'll only need to slip up once or twice to be royally screwed over.

Like I said though, you don't have to agree with me, or the protestors, and I'm certainly not trying to convince you. You have your view, I have mine.

it is my concern when these stupid protests start going on throughout the game just like it did last monday instead off supporting the players . And what sports teams have dic been successful with ? Horses is what they have done . Nothing to do with sports teams . They want a club to enable them to tap into the money . If you think they going to do it for the love off the game then your mistaken . The yanks are sports fanatics and can be seen by the fact they own three sports teams between them . Yes they have more money but you dont know they will pile it all into the club . They would want a profit not work like chelsea

Hey, like I said, I'm just stating my opinion. No need to sound so rattled about it all. :chin:

I agree DIC will be in it for the money. However being on this side of the Atlantic I would like to believe they have a better understanding of how football works, and be better placed geographically and politically to more efficiently tap into the lucrative Asian markets.

I also don't believe protests effect team performance. The protests the other day were hardly overwhelming in scale and the players were performing crud long before this story blew.

As for DIC stating they would convert our debt to Dubai government debt, well that's no different from what the UK government did with Northern Rock, but a measily £650m max is a drop in the ocean to Dubai compared to the £26 billion outlayed by us taxpayers on some incompetent Geordie financiers.

If DIC lie, then they lie and we really would just have to deal with it. I just don't subscribe to that tactic now because I don't see the harm in hoping for a better option to the Americans if one is presented to us.
