Wigan boss Steve Bruce has been forced to shelve plans to send Julius Aghahowa out on loan. The Nigeria striker has struggled to make an impact at The JJB Stadium following his £2million move from Shakhtar Donetsk in January last year. A number of Championship clubs were monitoring his situation with Bruce keen for the forward to get more action under his belt. But Aghahowa's lack of games at Wigan mean that it is unlikely he would be granted a work permit elsewhere. Bruce said: "It's a nightmare. It would be ideal if he could go out somewhere and get used to playing in England." |
