Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele has agreed to move to Paris Saint Germain, according to French radio station RMC.

The news will be a surprise to the Stamford Bridge fans as, despite being a veteran, the 35-year-old has been a popular and key figure for Chelsea in the last five years.

time is right for him to go. great player but is starting to lose his touch. dallies on the ball a bit too much nowadays and when he loses it, it always ends up in a good chance for the opposition. its time for mikel to step up and make the holding role his.

all the best to maka though. did a terrific job for us the past 5 years.

Probably been your most consistent player over the last 5 years. Is that fair to say?

Is there anyone in the squad who could replace him or is it a case of going into the market?

Maka did us proud...was a fantastic player, but he was not the same last season and has lost a bit of his spark.

No one is irreplaceable.. I wish him well..
