Robinho has told Real Madrid that his desire to join Chelsea this summer is the same as Cristiano Ronaldo's wish to move to the Bernabéu during a meeting this weekend. Having been mentioned as a possible makeweight in the Spanish champions' bid for Ronaldo, the 24-year-old feels unappreciated and has let los Merengues know his true feelings. "Let me go to Chelsea," Marca claim Robinho told Calderón and Schuster. "I want to go to Chelsea in the same wat that Ronaldo wants to come to Madrid. It is the same thing." Schuster went public with his desire to keep the former Santos star at the club, but that has done little to reassure the player that the hierarchy feel the same way. While Madrid are said to have offered him a double-your-money contract of €4m, Robinho knows that Chelsea would hand him a salary of nearly €6m-per-year. |

Chelsea have tonight confirmed they have made an undisclosed offer for Real Madrid forward Robinho. The club had previously named the Brazilian as their prime summer target following the earlier signings of Jose Bosingwa and Deco. A statement on the Blues' website, www.chelseafc.com, read: "Further to media reports, Chelsea Football Club can confirm we have made an offer to Real Madrid today for the transfer of Robinho." The 24-year-old, who joined Real Madrid from Santos in 2005, has 50 caps for Brazil and Chelsea's offer is believed to be around £20million. |

I wouldn't be suprised if that offer, if true, would be laughed at by Madrid. :chin: |

chelsea were last night preparing the next stage of their attempt to land striker Robinho after Real Madrid rebuffed the opening offer. Blues chief executive Peter Kenyon tabled the £21million bid for the star on Thursday. But Real want at least £30m, and rejected the offer for the 24-year-old saying he is not for sale. However, Robinho's agent Wagner Ribeiro claims the Brazilian feels utterly unwanted in Madrid. Ribeiro said: "Robinho is very angry with the way the Madrid bosses are dealing with him. "His ambition is to become the best player in the world but he won't achieve that at Madrid because they treat him like a normal player. |
