Someone indeed had seen the workout and the man standing on the rail was very impressed. He also knew the filly but not personally as he had never owned her before. Jason was looking to get a few more horses and he had, though he was looking for one or two more to add onto his line of racing Thoroughbreds and from what he had seen, he would be buying this beautiful copper filly...provided the woman riding her would allow him to purchase her. He waved at her as she walked Rags toward him, indicating that he wanted to talk to her. His own stopwatch had been pocketed only seconds before and he was shocked at the speed. She was as good as Zenyatta and while he wasn't going to buy her to just match speeds with Zenny, it was one of the reasons that he wanted her. His eyes moved over Rag's body, noting that she was racing fit and after checking the booklet he had in his hands, he knew she had good bloodlines. When the woman was close enough, Jason spoke up, hoping that she would stop.

"Excuse me, ma'am. I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about that lovely filly you are riding."

Jason had seen the spirit in Rags and he knew that she was going to be a challenge to him with his limp but he would just have to deal with her antics, should she give him any.

(Blech. Sorry its so short. Still rusty a little.

Edit. Looks like someone else is going to take Rags. Should I back out Shel?)

The brunette had been sitting quietly off to the side, dainty brown eyes watching the horses exercise with apathy. He wasn't sure what had brought him out here in the first place-- perhaps a chance to get a look at the competition? Hah. That was a joke. He had been lain off when his former employee, Tyler Moore, had skipped town. Sold off his stock, his farm, and left.. just like that. Chance Romero was used to it though; he'd been thrown to the curb more than once in his life. However, his termination wasn't an entirely bad thing: he had been able to purchase the chestnut filly-- Summerly. The mare was a welcome addition to his ragtag team, however, he was looking for more.

So he went to the track.

A man close to him called out to the chestnut's rider, and Chance perked up. It was apparent that this man was interested too. The tattooed jockey stood up and stretched his arms out, before moving closer to the rail and to Jason-- making it apparent that he would be joining in on this negotiation-- if it went that far. "She moves nice," He said, the monotone of his voice befitting his bedraggled appearance. A slight smile marred his features as he watched the filly, admiring the physical shape she was in. Chance let his hands fall into his pockets as he rocked back on his heels; he'd let the other man speak his piece-- he wasn't about to be rude and step on anyone's hypothetical toes, but he wasn't about to let this filly pass by him so easily.

And I'm ready to suffer and I'm ready to hope, it's a shot in the dark aimed right at my throat.

[Forgive the intrusion, but if you want Rags Lisa, you should have Jason outbid Chance -shrugs- Just my six cents really ^^]

(I know, Lani, but I am severely irritated with Becky right now and I don't really want to deal with her.)
