Also, i would like to keep going with the saddle and such. Can she handle that without getting scared?

No, she won't take the carrot anyway because she's too focused on the bit. And just take it slow, stop trying to plan out each event. I can't post well that way rofl.

Inez was surprised at how easily Athena took to the bridle and the bit. She patted her firmly but gently on the neck, praising her with words after Athena had pushed her muzzle into Inez's hands, seeking treats. Inez did have treats but she wanted Athena to get used to the bit and bridle first before just taking it off to give her treats. Inez grinned when Chase spoke his opinion about Athena. <i>'You have a good eye for horses. She's a keeper. Want to give her some time to adjust? Or should we push on?'</i> At the question of pushing on was raised by Chase, Inez shook her head. <b>"No. I think a few days of getting her used to the bridle and figuring out what its all about will be enough for now. I think she did pretty well and I want to end this part of the training on a positive note."</b> Inez smiled as she turned back to Athena, praising her once more for being brave and such. But she did want to get the reins attached to the bridle the next day. <b>"I do want to lead her around for a few turns so that she can get used to the bridle's movement on her head for just about 5 minutes or so before we take it off for the day."</b>

The filly snorted impatiently, shaking her head every so often to test the bridle's fastness, to see whether it would fall off on its own. When it didn't, she gave up, standing quietly instead, gently running her teeth across the metal. Chase nodded in agreement with Inez's intent, there was no point in subjecting the filly to a new object too quickly. It was best to take these things one day at a time. "Don't rush her though, she may fight you along the way."
