Hey all Lexter here from the old site... decided it was time for a change of nick... just wondering what some good shops around Sydney are to buy set of springs and an exhaust (cat-back) from. i have done a little shopping around already and it seems that Trust power II comes to about $800 installed... does this seem right? hi sunil.. if you can wait approx 4 weeks to 6 weeks we will be launching the club and will also announce our preferred workshop with a mech who is fantastic (he knows our cars) to say the least. they also have their parts section as well... members will get a lower rate with part purchases/installs. |

So how much do they charge for SAFC tuning? I got a quote from Croydon, roughly $300 and they want the car for the day! Thats ridiculous I was quoted about $500 to have the SAFC installed and tuned, but I installed it myself, now they want $300 just for tuning |

depends on what the service is.. im getting edwin to check back with croydon next week. edwin wants dyno before tunning (top end + street), then dyno after. new quote will be based on: 1)dyno power run before. 2)tune top end on dyno. 3)street tuning. 4)dyno power run after. [fitting of airflow and egt sensor for the above] we suspect fitting of sensors and street tuning isnt done with crydon based on that price, but to be fair ed will get an accurate quote next week. the workshop price was based on step (3) only and fitting sensors for tuning. clearly, steps 1 to 4 will take at least half a days worth. |

steps 1-3 will be 270 (2-3 hours), or steps 1-4 will be 380 (4 hours max) recommended is just step 1-3 as you will do top end tun anyway and is tuning f/a with safc. but if you want a base line and do a re dyno after it can be done for more cost as you need to setup the dyno again. (sorry i got the order originally wrong in the translation last saturday). you can do step 4 after step 2, with the same results and this will be cost effective (this will be $270 still) and street tune (step 3) last. this is more practical and still will be 2-3 hours max. so $270 with steps 1,2,4,3 (in that order) with egt and airflow meter hookup. *$270 is member prices* |

Indy and Chris are VERY helpful. Best to ask for them, and just mention your name and that you are a member of the Altezza Club. They have the member list also, so they can verify your credentials! |
