Usually in the drivers seat. If there is no air detected then the sensor will suffocate and die. A funny smell coming from the sensor indicates that death has occured and that there is a shortage of air in the car. |

Oh, sorry, I may have made a mistake. The air what sensor? Temperature? Composition? Mass flow? No Keith, it's not in the manual. It's only in the automatic... |

The IS uses a vacuum sensor. It's located near the throttle body opening and next to the throttle position sensor. |
