Anyone got pix of the grex (trust/greddy) or hks oil coolers, or any other oil cooler for that matter installed on their altezza?

I just got a few bits off a starlet gt and am looking for ideas on how to mount the oil cooler itself.

Ive got a 16row mocal oil cooler, mocal thermostatic sandwich adapter, fittings and some -10an hose (not braided).

Shot of the cooler secured with 2 top brackets. I was unable to bend the metal strip in the shape i needed to make bottom brackets so i just used some zip ties against the power steering cooler

Your friend take the photos..???

No feet!!

Could you mount it in the lower air intake of the bumper? Nothing to occlude it then, but it would need longer lines I assume.

lol sorry about the missing feet

if you were to mount it horizontal and lower down you would have to mount it on the drivers side and modify the power steering cooler...as in remove half of it or extend the supply lines and flip it over (upside down).

The reason for mounting it on the drivers side is that the passenger side has too much shit in the way.

After impressions:
I let the car idle for 10mins so i could check everything over for leaks and what not. Once the car was warmed up i couldnt keep my hand on the cooler. These BEAMS 3SGE's heat oil up like a damn furnace. This is a must have for any altezza owner.

On that note the coolant temp is down yet another notch. Bone stock the coolant temp needle was one notch above the midway mark full warmed up and idling, it never moved no matter how i drove. With the TRD 1.3bar rad cap and 71*C thermostat, a 50/50 coolant/distilled water and a bottle of redline water wetter the temps dropped to a gnats cock below halfway at idle when warmed up. Temps would drop to the notch below the midway mark if i went over 50mph.

Now with the oil cooler the temp needle is a notch below the midway mark when fully warmed up and idling.

I think i will have to start adding some more power mods to make this thing put out a little more heat.

max oil pressure i have attained is 7 bar.. but usually runs between 5-6bar and when idle at 2 bar..

oil temp.. is 80-90 degrees normal driving.. if i squirt hard on some length of time.. i can expect to go up to 95 but never over that.. track is a different story.. ill range at least 110 to 120... 120 which is when i need to stop :)
