guys - if you all are keen in getting one ...
then please let me know ASAP as I am placing an order for a few of these within the next day.

all currency is in AUD dollars

andis200 - postage to germany would be AUD$16.00 (insurance is recommended)
Paypal is fine ... pls direct to - joehoang@unwired.com.au

kevin - matt has the JDM one piece unit which is fine. depending on your model (luxury) you may want to decide whether to keep your traction & seat warmers.

Here is what it looks like :)

Yep! I'm a latebird! No idea why I'm now seeing this post. Are the kits still available? I need one!

I'm in Barbados (Caribbean), how do I pay? I have VISA! I can wire fund$ but only if I present an official invoice to bank (required by law). Paypal is not available here in Barbados :(

Can I still get in on this? :vrrrm:

oh really ..?? interesting ..
cause to be honest - we barely make any profits at all on anything thru AcoA !
10% would be the most just to cover admin ...
since its not for profits ... we dont see the point.

do you have website or contact details ..?

I'll check these out thru them :) CHEERS !!!!

yeah, i wasnt hinting that as i know you guys do this for the benefit of the members just letting you know you can get them cheaper without group buying.

Contact Steve at Stinger if you still want to do a group buy. He might sell direct for a decent amount.

Otherwise any store who sells stinger will also do thier fascias they bring in. Dont try JB or Hifi supermarket ect.

Specialist stores.

I have just installed one of these bracket kits as ordered from FLEX, quite happy to say the least. Well designed, everything included (even extra screws), and fairly straightforward to install!

Bad points are, that fit and finish isn't the best, there's a bit of gap along the edges (as with all aftermarket stuff) that requires a bit of tweaking to balance the gap on both sides, and also since it replaces the metal bracket that goes around the climate control unit with a plastic one, there might be issues with strength / cracking in the future (under more extreme conditions).

The other thing is, I followed the instructions to the T, and had some issues with placing the two plastic spacers on the inside of the plastic brackets, as they collided with the aftermarket HU metal sleeving.

But other than that, very pleased, looks great and quite sturdy. Thanks again to FLEX for going to the trouble of organising this.

glad to see that it went swell -
but there shouldnt be a slight gap even with the aftermarket plastic brackets ..
mine was pretty flushed in ...
have u tried takin that silver garnish plate from your deck off and replace it with the black one ..??
u might have a cleaner look.

I also didnt need to use the spacers - this might explain the gap ..

but yea - it does look good !! hehehe :D

BTW ya'll - theres one more kit available right here for express shipment.

first in grabs it !!

PM me for it !

when you say sleeve have you installed the deck with the cradle ? this would cause it all to buldge?

you are meant to take the trim sorround off your new deck and use the one that comes with the kit so it looks like its mounted from behind like flexs' one.

I have no worries with this kit at all! all gaps were fine. and the spacers have little dimples so they sit exactly where they should in the side mounting brackets, maybe you have them around the worng way this would also cause it all to buldge out.

Yeah, it's a bit hard to explain, but the plastic trim you see in the pic, that's just a thin plastic frame, the black one supplied in the kit didn't fit the face of the HU (as it was rounded corner vs square corner, a bit of modification would fix this).

What I meant was the spacers at the side of the mounting kit (2 x slotted plastic bits) clashed with the metal sleeve of the HU as it was being fitted in (before the actual HU gets put in). The instructions say to put the sleeve in while the spacers are there (on the inside), but they get jammed (as there's not enough clearance). Once I didn't use the spacers it was fine, and there's only slight bending in the side plastic mounts.

Not such a big deal at all, the final result still came out quite well, but I thought other people might like to watch out for this.

yea - bigge is right -
u can pretty much screw in your deck into the plastic frame as shown in red

its universal - so u should still be able to use the black garnish fascia and get a nice finish

but when your screwing it to the bracket, because there sliding holes, you can align it so you face will run flush with the fascia, but remember if your deck is motorised then it will need to sit furter out ie: pioneer 9450.

Hey Matt & Joe,

Much Thanks! :boink:

Goods received in good order! They were sitting in the post office for about 3 weeks now, I was just too busy to collect them, then there was some industrial action that crippled the post office for about 1.5 weeks or so. Anywayz, I have the kit ... looks good-2-go! :woot:

Now to find me that stereo <_<

(will let u know how installation goes)
