the trd shifter is awesome. the stroke is shorter than shifters made for other cars in comparison, like cee's for gtr and others. i think b&m are more popular os. personally, definately the most significant upgrade u will do to your car for a few hundred $. i always thought gxe10 and sxe10 shifters are interchangeable as they share the same part number and box. |

I had the B&M in my IS200. Great improvement and sooo much fun. It's very hart to shift. You can feel the gears rolling over and it makes a nice click/clack sound while shifting like in very sportscars. He also imports the gearbox humming into compartement. Sounds very sporty, like in a rallycar. But this stick is not driveable by women, McFlys and somebody who doesn't know what to expect. B&M is not to expensiv (about 180USD) and worth every penny to get a feeling for shortshifters. Don't buy a used one. They often rattle because of worn tolerances. TRD is a much better way to go for. Smooth, sporty, suits a Lexus, especially Altezza/IS very well. But it's far more expensiv (around 300USD). It is Toyota quality steel. I now have the TRD fitted. The B&M is sold. I can't say which is the best. Both have pros and cons. Would be nice if there would be a quickfit available. Sundays the TRD, all other days the B&M. I never will go back to the OEM shift. It's like stiring a puddle of mudd. They should have install a shortshifter as they released this car... For LHD and RHD: B&M you are able to turn it around. TRD its straight up. So it doesn't matter. Replacement: LINK Comparisn: ![]() Numbers: TRD: 33530-SE100 B&M: 45095 |

![]() Fitting was a doddle... Quality compared to the B&M is alot better, fixtures fittings and presentation alot better imo, and being japanese product coming with English manual is a huge thumbs up! ![]() How does it compare to the B&M? same length of throw, very short.. Effort required is HUGELY less than the B&M is only VERY slightly stiffer than stock. No noises like that from the B&M. Reverse doesn't kill me now (thank ***, especially after i've got to drive back from the gym!) Gear knob supplied is nice, but needs to be about 30% larger... i've got it on for now ![]() All in all 11/10! B&Ms only advantage is price.. performance and quality... TRD owns its ***** every way!!!!!!!!!!! |

Thanks Mr Singh for your info man! I think I'll go with B&M, as I think I might like all that clicking noice I have read on the IS300.net forum that lextacy.com is not the best place to order parts from.. Where should try? Any good online sites you recommend? Or just order from ebay? I have never ordered anything from overseas.. Hope they won't charge a sh!tload on shipping! |

A friend of mine bought a head deck from the states, shipping was a resonable NZ$60 or so. I hope those shortshift guys won't overcharge! :- P |

They have the B&M shifter on ebay for around US$160 cheapest. Thats about NZ$230. So around NZ$300 shipped I'm guessing. If we have a couple shipped together, shipping might be cheaper? |

The B&M for the IS300 is different to the one for the IS200/RS200. Different part no's. DON'T buy one for IS300, it won;t fit! Your brave man going for the B&M.... Imo there totally un-worthy against the TRD  |

I am making some enquiries here in Oz to see how low we can get the price on the TRD short shifter. Stay tuned... I will find out about part numbers - more than likely, RHD IS200 and RS200 use the same short shifter. |
