Looking for expressions of interest on a purchase of the Camcon VVTi controller. I am currently canvasing for prices, it would of course depend upon the numbers, though. The Camcon controller has been getting some good reviews in the press and from owners on these forums, and is a nice performance addition to your car if you just have light tuning/bolt ons (intake/filter/exhaust) " * Adjustment of Toyota VVT-i / VVTL-i's valve timing within +20' ~ -20'. Setting is done in 1.0' increments every 500rpm from 2000rpm ~ 9000rpm for a total of 15 points. * Set VTEC high cam cross-over in 100rpm increments from 2000rpm ~ 9000rpm for HONDA VTEC / i-VTEC motors. * Precise adjustments of air/fuel every 500rpm between 2000rpm ~ 9000rpm within +20' ~ -10' in 1.0% increments. * When the unit is in display mode, it will show either amount of cam timing the CAMCON is altering in real time with the RPM. (For HONDA VTEC motors, it will show the current RPM and high-cam engagement via LED indicator or the A/F modification % in real time with the RPM.) * This unit will only control VVT-i valve timing and not lift engagement in VVTL-i. * This unit will only control VTEC lift control and not valve timing in i-VTEC. oh and btw matt! the corolla boys will be down with this for sure. Theyre all extreme tightarses (takes one to know one) but im sure they will go it if they can make their cars louder or if they can mount an electronic box in the cabin that actually does something! |

There was a GB for these on the Toyota Owners Club already, last year i believe. It played out almost the same as a group buy or event does on these forums (NZ members not withstanding).... Someone posted it up, 3 pages of excited discussion and people saying "sounds awesome" and "i'm in" , and in the end, one guy bought one who doesn't even post on the forums. |

Robin H in the UK reports glowingly on the Camcon in his RS200: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...topic=33185&hl= "The car feels so much better to drive now. much more responsive all the way up trough the rev range. she pulls like a train. as you can see from the dyno read out there is great gain in torque and power between 3000-5000 rpm and this can really be felt. I've never pulled away from cars so quickly when coming off of rounder abouts or when over taking. I've always thought that the fun begins in a tezza once you get to about 5000 rpm, well with the camcon fitted it starts at 3000 and and gets even better at 5000. I've now got 186.2 bhp at the hubs and 151 ft-lbs of torque so very happy with the end result this is a must have mod and great value for money"

Oh yeah, been driving with mine for some time now... Still loving it... Especially good because at the push of a button you go back to stock and realise what you've gained.

Details on the Neo are sketchy. Does it control VVTi, or is it VTEC only like the VAFC? Regardless, the Neo is very expensive for a piggyback, so unless it's bling you're after you may as well do it properly and go Power FC. |

Had my camcon for two weeks now. Very impressed with the results gained. There is a more consistant delivery in power all through the rev ranges. There used to be a power hole between 3000-4500RPM, this is now fixed !!!! YES !!! (Although some people may like the kick at 4500....?) And as jasestu reported you can go back to factory at a touch of a button. Well worth the purchase. |

Yeah, looks like where the only two. Hopefully not for long, these things are worth it. Wouldn't mind going to a track or dyno day to get them tuned. You could take yours for a spin on baypark speedway jasestu.............MEAN!!

Hey Andy, Sydney/AU drivers have been discouraged from this after learning that with the IS200, the Camcon is not of much use, and really not worth the money. You would probably get a better result spending the money on an exhaust upgrade, and a better drop in panel filter. If you have a 3SGE BEAMS though, by all accounts it is well worth the money. |
