Well I sold my AS200 Altezza today.

Bought it for $19,000 with 39,000kms on the clock.

Drove it for 8 months and sold it with 59,000kms on the clock.

Sale price..... $24,000

I am just toally amazed but I wanted to say thanks to everyone for your help during my time here. It has been good but its time for something new. Looking at another WRX or Integra Type R but have also got my eyes on this sweet EK9 Civic with a 2L engine and coilovers etc (sounds like fun).

Thaks again B)

Don't forget to pop in and show off the new wheels.

There are quite a few modified EK's in Sydney now, including one guy often seen at IS Motor Racing in Sydney who is on his 6th(?) one? He builds them and sells them and does another one. The current one is a turbo charged B18C. :woot:

 Actually, the DC2R is widely considered to be the best front wheel drivers car one can buy, and largely because it drives more like a rear wheel drive car than most other front wheel drives.

Nice choice, Nabsie! How's the ride with the D2's? I would have thought that would be one place where not much improvement could be made on a DC2R, unless you were to spend big dollars and run aggressive geometry.

To be honest the spring rates and shock valving I feel is way out of the range it should be in. The car hops really bad on the street and certainly has a far from comfortable ride, even on the softest setting.

I havent taken the car to the track as yet but I imagine the D2's will perform fairly well on the track because of there ride qualities.

I do have the stock struts in a box that the previously owner gave to me with the car. They've been fitted with some red lowred springs with some weird name and says they are made in Holland. Unfortunatly no beer or big busty european blondes were included :( but I am considering installing the stock stuff to see how it performs, then make a judgement on if it is a better idea to off load the D2's and buy a set of Buddy Club or Cusco coilovers.

Currently it handles on rails though when it is on a smooth surface but hit a bump mid corner and it drastically jumps off line, even to the point that it unweights the car and revs up like it has just pulled air, lol.

Great car to drive though, you can tell that Honda were making a performance car. It's honestly like they built a race car and then said "Hey lets put an interior in this thing and register it for the road!"

Seriously looking forward to attacking the circuit and also the mountains.
