Don't forget to tell how the photo of my car was taken Jesse - someone was standing up through the sunroof as we were driving in the rain.

Great drive - for the total day I did 495km's from home and back - shame the rain slowed us down.

Was good to see everyone again.

Good to see a pretty good turn out yesterday.
despite thw weather, I still enjoy the drive. the wet condition just add some more excitment compare to our previous "all fine weather cruise". also it showed how well our cars holding the road..

5x IS200s (Josh, Graham,Oliver,Dr X3000,Steven)
2x IS250s (Gary, Ben)
1x GS300 (Jesse)
1x Euro (ChrisF, he couldn't get onhold of his mum's IS300 or his sister's IS200)

we started at our favorite route-- Mt. CootTha, Mt. Nebo, Samford Vally, Mt. Mee.
(~1.5 hour non stop).

again, stopped at Mt. Mee Road for the photoshotting. (again my favorite photospot).

This time we stretched further north. Graham took the lead on a road which his last visit was 10 years ago. Thanks to his good memory..
We arrived out final destination Montville just after 1pm. we struggled to find parkings as it's a popular tourist area.
We managed to regroup and find ourselves a cafe to have some feed and chat.

I wondered around those craft shops and cafe until 4:30pm, then head south back to BNE through highway. ~370km rip for me ..
now my IS is reaching 70,000km soon. rear tyres need replacement soon (still running on the OEM Sp9000, front tyres still good 30% I think)

Thanks Jesse for the photos. I will tidy up more pics tonight and post them up.

It was a good trip. My eyes were killing me towards the end and i couldnt wait to get home. haha. We past chris in his euro again just before the gateway bridge. i did end up going down steve irwin way and got a bit of traffic but not too much.

I really need to trust my car more as i was a little too afraid of hitting it in the wet. after seeing stevens car with those tyres i knew i wasnt trusting mine enough. lol. great to see new mods on the cars guys and cant wait to go on a nice beach cruise next time maybe. :woot:
LXTASY to you I say goodbye, but have fun in someone else's life.

hee hee.
Josh, Good on you that you take great care of your baby. It's always good to be slow and onthe safe side. and never push beyong your comfort zone when driving on public roads.
We went out as a group for nice cruise and enjoying driving thru the winding road. No matter how slow people drive. we dont race...

Obviously I have more experience with IS, and I have done some defensive driving courses. perhaps helped me a bit. but I still drive relatively slow in wet. no room for error!!

Safe Driving !yeah !..

PS: Oliver is not a good role model when comes to mountain road driving... herher

Yeah.. I didn't push the 250 much as I don't know it yet.. I managed to keep up tho and the backend stepped out once as I pushed hard in a low gear thro a wet tight corner.. (Jesse saw that and was behind me at the time)..

The GPS works great, selected the shortest distance to Pomona and it took me straight to the bruce hwy.. Anyone else take this little dodgy mountain side road almost immediatley off to the left of Montville?? Straight faced cliff edges with no barriers and rock falls over the road in one part.. Interesting.. haha

lol.. Oliver is a nutcase!

I did nebo a couple of weeks ago, at night ... in stormy weather! haha... Mountains are a really good way to learn the limits of your car...

Just a suggestion for the next cruise...

Unfortunately between the randomness of chinese new year on saturday night ( i live in fortitude valley) and the random gf of my female roomates that decided to make my bed her own since friday night much to my gf's  all in one insane sat night, I could hardly keep my eyes open on the way to byron at 7 in the morn on sunday. I hardly survived the 194 ks let alone how many you guys got through
