cool looking car... but had a read on some reviews, doesn't seems to impress...

"Aurion is not as nimble or well-controlled as Camry: where the smaller car really tucks into corners and tracks faithfully over undulating terrain, the extra 90kg (depending on model) in the nose of the new car blunts the handling in tight corners. The ride, too, seems less well-controlled than Camry, fidgeting over ripples on motorway blacktop. "

"Aurion is not quite the fresh start TNZ seems to suggest: it's essentially a topped-and-tailed Camry with a big engine, regardless of what the brochures might tell you."

but who care as long as it is good looking...

Front-wheel-drive Commodore!

The worst of both worlds!!

Aurion is larger than Camry in overall length, albeit only by 10mm. Holden's new VE Commodore, by way of comparison, is 113mm longer in the wheelbase than Aurion but just 16mm larger overall.

That is a lot of overhang somewhere, and that always detracts from good handling.

The TRD Aurion will be supercharged.

Apart from the front wheel drive layout, a nice car. There's much hoorah being made in the local media on how theAurion is lighter, accelerates quicker, is more powerful and more economical than the equivalent Ford or Holden. However this isn't the first time Japanese engineering has been ahead of the local or US variety!

Yeah... Looks like a BA falcon to me..

Although I like the look of the BA its been around for a while so the Aurion's look will date fairly quickly.

Certainly from the rear. Same with the new Camry, it's seems to be even more like the IS250. Sharpish, angular, with that pronounced shoulder that seems to be all the rage in car design now.

I like the looks of the car, but if i was in the market I wouldn't go for a FWD it just dosen't = fun driving for me.

I Haven't heard any evidence of this but maybe the aurion will go AWD.

Elementary design from the IS250 AWD or RAV4 might help make the transition feasible.. but commonsense tells me that toyota would have debuted with an AWD sportivo if they were planning on making one at all.

There is a possibility they are waiting to gauge the market before relasing an AWD lineup, mostly due to the limited ucess of the Mitsubishi 380 which seemed like a good car to me, but I dare say the public would much rather be slanted towards an AWD (AWD=safety when taking kids to soccer) rather than a FWD if it was a matter choice alone.

Geez i didnt even realize they were front wheel drive. so it basically is a glorified Camery after all. lol. i still think there hot but FWD??? Nup! No way! Gone are the days when Toyota made the good sports cars like the MR2's, Supra's and Soarer's.... Bring those kinda cars back i say! Something good to look at and still drive like a race car. lol. non of this family car crap! haha!
