ok, I take it bolt on turbo's require a sh!tload of work to get on and off.. I've seen pics of the kit getting around but general it's not a weekend DIY job. |

bolt on turbo for what a 1gfe or 3sge ? if it s a 1gfe then dont bother, there is no complete aftermarket kit that is diy the 1gfe requires a fair bit of work if its 3sge - then blitz do a supercharger kit for it and HKS to a turbo kit for it and since your doing an engine conversion to 3sge, why would you bother upgrading the 1gfe motor ?

That car's had a complete (and cheap by the engine bay pic's) colour change! I'd be abit suss about it? I'm assuming it's the IS200 you posted earlier with the Wald kit, Different looking wheels and Tan interior? This One?? If your spending $$$ on a genuine Wald Kit and putting unique wheels etc on and giving it a unique paint colour wouldn't you spend the little extra and get the engine bay done? are the door jams and boot area done? As Flex said: 'genuine WALD kit ...? thats gotta be rare as ! Im kinda skeptical on this one ... The cosmetics alone would be at least $12K-$15Ks ... It's also got extreemly low K's too - could be a weekend cruiser tho. By the looks of the engine and what they've done to improve performance I'd say it's had a hard short life... again if your spending all that money on a kit wheels & paint woudnt you get proper performance go fast bits!? Weird! It could be all legit and have reasons why they did what they did or didnt do but just pointing out what I see. I'll stop now

that's the one indeed, looks ok, well not wanting to diss... the report for this car looks bad.. the wheels are scrubbing out and are bald.. the car is too low to be legal and so on... scratch that one off the list cause even with those pics I could see the engine has seen better days. Who would rip the intake system off the car @ only 25k ? <_< $165 out of pocket already and I haven't even found a suitable car. But by all means, please say what you want to say.. it's better to be clear about it all then to just hold back and watch an uneducated potential IS200 owner kick off with a bad experience. |

ohhhh that one!! :ph43r: I've heard stories about that car hehehe joking... looks nice, already hit up the bank about one in similar condition and they'd only offer a price you wouldn't want to even know about... mainly cause it's older then 4years in their books. |

2) Could be the ballast for an aftermarket HID kit. Looks like another one behind the driver side headlamp. |

Thats what I was thinking, they left the enginebay when repainting from the Stock yellow... Any crash history? Even though they fixed it (if it was involved in a crash), the cars structual rigidity would be nowhere near as strong as it once was. |

that indeed is true xnickx - full car test showed that it had been in a crash, additionally I specifically asked about the K's and the kit be checked those out also.. with the results being fake on both accounts unfortunately... I was pretty cut as thats $165 gone in my relentless pursuit for perfection. <_< Now I'll be holding off as I think it'll be much more fruitful finding a RS200... next step.. figure out how to find them. |

ah- the relentless pursuit of rocking horse manure... When Greeneyes hits Sydney next month it will make 11 RS200s in Australia?? or can they still be counted on the fingers of both hands?? Hell, if you want an RS200, come live in NZ! Seriously, you would have to find an Australian living overseas for at least a year after they bought it, or find someone immigrating into Aussie in 2008 and buy them an Altezza here now. Good ones around for $20k, although you'd have to pay someone to do it, so you would spend maybe $25k. Shippings about $3500 by the look of it, then 10% duty on $28500 is $2850, so it costs $31350, and 10% GST on that is another $3135, so it costs you about $35000 to get one in. You would really need to budget $40K, twice the price here, and wait at least a year after paying out the money! So, shall I bring a spare 3SGE and g'box in my hand luggage!! |

Hey, I fit all that and can bring across a 2001 with 61Ks. If I can help a fellow member and Keith is kind enough to give us the total figures to land greeneyes let me know. Only offering as I can source a turbo number to replace it. |
