Sorry also getting old, do not agree with street drifting, put it on the race track.

Its a shame to have to watch what was a good Lexus slowly getting wrecked, post by post.

Also agree with Slipstream not a good advert for the Altezza Club

strong comments

Strong But true!

I must admit that even tho the Altezza only costs between 15k - 20k in New Zealand I find it sad to see young people are able to purchase them and not appeciate their value. I had to work hard to get the money to buy my Altezza and as a result treat it with respect.

As noted each time a post is made on this vehicle it has attached a list of damage and bits that require attention.

Dont get me wrong its totally up to the owner of the vehicle how they treat it but sadly its usually the young crew that complain when the cops pick on them. I would say judging from the video and past posts that they may bring it on themselves.

but there is nothing wromg with modifying a car

you're lucky in NZ that you have access to the RS200
we only get the is200 and the options to upgrade it are severly expensive
be it cosmetic or mechanical

I fully agree with making modifications to any car let along an Altezza, I would be the first in line to mod their vehicle.

I feel sorry for you guys not have the RS200 range.

What gets the hair on my neck up is someone wrecking their vehicle and being proud of it.

Some quick questions for ya:

Do you think that it will hold its value if you continue to push it to its limits and have to make on going repairs???

Do you think it would add more value if a purchaser cames to view the vehicle and you show them the videos???

I know one thing is for sure if I purchased a vehicle for 30K I would treat it with a lot more respect! And I know if my old man was alive and had seen me driving my car like that at your age my ass would have been grass!!!

But hey each to their own, its your car and your $$$$$$

This is the end of my rant on the subject, starting to feel like a parent. ( Oooopps thats right I am now. Bugger! )

haha Craig! Another one getting old!!

Let her go do it! We all learn as we go-

I rolled a mate's Mini in 1967! Fixed it up for him and bought it off him when he sold it.

I've always been very careful in other people's cars since!

I want to be able to afford all of that... :( lol

Good on ya for doing what you enjoy doing...

As for the spacers however, I have heard they can severly weaken the bolts and you can sheer them off? so if you are drifting them and such, you would be putting undue stress on the bolts, and begging for more repairs... correct me if Im wrong please...

Your rite about the spacers !!!

i slide on 18 x 8s so wen i do that ,u leave spacers on the frount and take the rear ones off !!!

the only resion im using the spacers is becuase i cant afford offset wheels
and they guards are getting rolled ! so the wheels i have will just look stupid !

but yes you are rite ...
but it take a long for them to get that bad tho !!!

They can do if incorrectly manufactured or installed. Generally speaking the ones you can buy these days are pretty good though. Some require longer studs to be fitted to the hubs, some come fitted with their own studs.

As long as you aren't creating insane offsets with them you should be ok.
