Keith, Reckon you could bring some over to Sydney also? Providing these are the filters that fit beind the glovebox, as opposed to the filters that you see in JDM Altezza's which are (sometimes?) located on the rear parcel shelf. |

OMG!! I phoned Daniel and its is the electrostatic one for $59!! Not the most expensive one, the next one down! and they do fit behind the glovebox. It is just the filter, which is changed in less than half an hour at Toyota when they do them. |

haha! That's 'cos you work in a place she hates! You should be an artist or a tree-hugger... ok, how do we want to do this? Do you just want to get them from Manukau Toyota yourselves, or do you want to put money into altezzaclub account & I will get a boxful... ?? I'm pretty busy for the next two weeks- The cars and the house go before Easter, and I'm gone 10days after that. So either way you would have to come over Eastside to get them. |

Naw.. Aussie have stacks of duties and tariffs they apply. Anything I take in less than 12months old is liable for duty. But maybe they wont apply it, apparently it varies with the guy behind the counter and how broke the Govt is!!! |

I took my glovebox out to have a look at the filter and found... that I don't have one installed! ![]() On a happy note, while I was grovelling around there I discovered why my passenger setbealt warning wasn't working. Unplugged connector under the seat. |

Hi guys, I had the day off so thought I'd pop into Manukau Botany Service centre to see if they had any filters. They don't carry any in stock but they can get them next day delivery. The first thing to note is that according to Daniel Jarvis - the deputy manager - the filters on special are in fact the high efficiency electrostatic filters. The top model, not the one down. These filters can be cleaned by blowing air through them whereas the others theoretically can't. The second point is that you need to check if you have a tray for the filter to sit in. I don't and Daniel was at a loss as to why it should have been removed (Al's MAF idea might not be far off the mark). The tray is a separate part and will add another $19.90 incl to the cost (that's club price). The annoying thing is that they don't have any trays in stock and they'd take 2-3 weeks to come in. So there you go, if you're after a filter you'll need to whip your glove box out to make sure you have a tray for it. Given that the filter is the high efficiency type I think it's still worth the additional cost. Cheers, Sim |
