Hi,

I am looking at buying a set of TRD front and rear struts while the $NZ is so strong.

I live on the North Shore in Auckland. If anyone else in Auckland is keen to get a set as well let me know, we may be able to get a discount if we have enough people or atleast may be able to combine shipping. I am keen to keep it to Auckland as it is easier for people to get the struts once they arrive.

I am also looking at buying this stuff too (but the struts are my main interest):
TRD Altezza (IS300) Leather Shift Knob
TRD Oil Fillter Cap (Silver)

Andrew :)

Possibles:
AndyC - Front and Rear
Xero - Front
ar rai wa - Front (x2?)

Sounds good Mark.

Here is a pic, not a very good one though.

I am looking at getting them from Kinway TRD, the price for a front strut is US$208 and for the rear, US$184. Hopefully we can get a bit off this.

The price for a front strut is US$208 on the Kinway Motorsport website. Hopefully Ken can give us a discount if we have enough people.

I'm not sure what the price is including delivery.

I'm not sure if they will fit the AS, you might need to check with Toyota.

Update: I am talking to Ken to see what the price is including shipping, and also what sort of discount he can offer.

I will post it up as soon as I find out.

Kinway should be able to let you know what they'll fit.

Fairly sure that IS/AS200 strut braces will fit IS300, don't quote me though ;-)

I have supplied TRD Front Tower Bar (Strut Brace) to my US customers. They said it will need some modifcation to make it fit on IS300, so I think it is not direct fit then.

Cheers,

Ken

The postage cost is very cheap. Only $10 to $15. If you ship it with other parts such as strut bar. It will be more cheaper for you because we do combine shipment

Hi Andrew,

Will you guys want this order shipment to ship to the same address or seperately?

Cheers,

Ken

I have talked to Ken form Kinway Motorsport. The prices are:

Front Strut - NZ$285.45
Rear Strut - NZ$252.50

If we have 5 or more people we can get a further 5% off that price.

The cost including shipping for a front and rear strut brace is NZ$678.50. This makes shipping (from Hong Kong) on one set NZ$141.50, seems a lot to me, I don't know how reasonable that is?

Where we are going to save money is probably on shipping. Since we would ship to one address and have most people collect it, we can split the shipping cost over a few people. I'm happy to arrange a courier for you mapple if you are keen.

What do you guys think?

Still interested?

Andrew

Main benefits seem to be more precise and responsive steering and less body roll through corners. So I guess better handling in general, plus it doesn't seem to effect ride comfort much, which is a bonus for me.

Check out this topic, people have commented on what they have found and there are a couple of interesting links.
