hi Yellow IS:

are you the one I gave the card to on top of Mt coot-tha lookout a while back?

I was just cleaning up my room with found a full A3 size advertisement of Yellow IS200 from "Brisbane News" which I collected.

I will bring it to u on the cruise day.. please remind me oh... :D

Hey ssml,
hmm no i do not belive that was me, i dunno if there are any other active queensland members with a yellow IS on these forums..

Oh excellent yeah, that'd be great, it' go straight to the pool room! aka the garage, where the car's parked at night.

Hey YellowIS... I wouldn't worry about the difficulty level.. We have previously done 2 cruise and a 3 cruise without to much difficulty..

How about Springbrook again anyone??? Just another suggestion...

Ben, great suggestion, i was google mapping that one yesterday, i'll append the list and on your suggestion remove the difficulties.

If people did choose the nebo, glorious, samford, clear mountain, dayboro, mt mee, cabooluture route, i'd be happy to volunteer to lead.

im happy to go with this!

2) Springbrook loop to Burleigh Heads
Route: Same as above but at mt tamborine, continue to mt nathan, advancetown, pindari hills, springbrook through the national park, tallebudgera valley through to burleigh heads

but then we could head back up through the gold coast way to the spit maybe? burleigh to surfers is about 15 mins. i like the cruises with a bit of both. mountain cruise, city cruise and freeway cruise. there all good and when its all in the one cruise its great! :D

Alright then,

Mt cootha car park, straight onto
centenery highway joining to
logan motorway exit right
mt lindsay highway continue till left
stockleigh road turn right at end to
waterford tamborine road through
tamborine mountain road
main westren road left
alpine terrace through
golf course road through
henri robert drive left
beaudesert nerang road right
nerang murwillumba road left
pine creek road through
springbrook road through
tallebudgera creek road through
west burleigh road and we are there.

Should take around 2 hours. With a break in the middle.

Luncheon?
Then to the spit..

And back via the fwy

If anyone would like to google map this, feel free to, i do not have to copy paste skills to do so.

Thats a lot of turn offs
What about straight down logan motorway to loganlea and turn off at jutland street onto beenleigh rd follow along to nerang street which is waterford -tamborine rd instead of mt lindesay hwy and stockleigh rd.
might be a little easyer to follow, and stop a tamborine mt. for bite to eat and photos, then go on to springbrook.

If i get my new tires this weekend then i'll go see what the road conditions are like. If they are too shocking then i'll cut out some bits.

But the aim is to get some mountain driving in.
Good idea to stop at mt tamborine thou in that little town section for a break.

This looks like it is shaping up to be another great QLD Chapter meet.

Couple of new members floating around here in Sydney also, so in the interest of having our (long overdue) QLD/NSW meet in future, let's have a NSW meet on the same day.
Might break the record for most members online at once that night too.
NSW Thread here: http://forum.altezzaclub.org.au/index.php?showtopic=4960

This thread has now been pinned.

heyhey. Springbrook is a good idea.
We went there for our 2005 2nd cruise. (12 x IS200s)

Thanks for YellowIS and Lxtasy for all the input.

Recently, I am busy with wedding preparation.
Yes, I am getting married. mid October. :D

but it wont stop me from going to the cruise at this stage. :P
also I believe my left arm will be fit enough to do fast gear shifting.
at the moment, for certain gear shifts, I have to use my right hand still due to dislocation of my left elbow ~ 2 wks ago, still not fully functional yet. :(

Congratulations to Steven. Will look good with 20 or so Lexus wedding cars all in a line. Remember seeing a photo of a Hong Kong wedding last year with heaps of cars like that.
