Oh and more items to add to the damaged list: 2 bent chassis rails :-o

Should have the car back in 2 weeks time, all going according to plan.

Hey Jeremy, sorry to read about the accident. Between the bike crash and this one you've not had a good year!!

So what are you doing for wheels in the meantime? And does it break traction in third?? :ph43r:

Nah I'm a bit of a shit magnet this year ;-)

I'm sure it'll break traction in 3rd if I pedal hard enough... I'm just lucky Marlborough is so flat.

From what I've been told I'll have it back by the weekend. Still feel like a dick but I've come to terms with the fact that these things happen...

Pictures will be up as soon as I get it back.

Well after all this time the best estimate of when I'll get it back is next Thursday (01NOV). Apparently it's crash season for Marlborough and their paintshop is completely overwhelmed by all the jobs they've had come in.

On a sad note, they weren't able to order a Legana bumper for me as the price difference was an extra $1000 and unfortunately I don't have that much lying around to make up the difference :-(

I did make good use of the loan car they supplied me with for Labour weekend though. It was an '89 Toyota Camry with a 3S-FE and slushbox, went very well though and never missed a beat despite its very shabby appearance and its seeming inability to go around corners without rolling around like a pig in mud...

It's going to have been a full month that I've been without my car when I get it back, I've really missed being able to just go for a drive whenever I want. It's definitely made me appreciate the freedom it gave me.

On the upside though, I've saved a fortune in petrol!!! I'm sure I'll make up for that going to and from the Club Meet in Chch though ;-)

3SFE uses less gas then your 1GFE? :o

Go get a loan, it will be worth it for the Legana front bar!

Not far away now till your car is back on the road.

Nah the fact that I haven't been driving is what saved me money. I only had the loan car for the weekend, and even that was only to drive to Nelson to catch a plane to Auckland... You'll all be pleased to know that to roadworks are gone at that particular intersection now and it's now traffic lights instead of a roundabout.

I'm already loaned up to the eyeballs paying off the car, the Legana bumper will just have to wait a little longer I'm afraid...

Hey Jeremy
Sorry to read about your crash - its always painful to see a broken tez.

Drove past one on the side of the road on the way to work last week too.

Least you will be staying fit!

Thanks Anita. Haven't heard from you for ages, thought you'd disappeared off the face of the planet...

Have you managed to get your hands on another Altezza yet?

Just rang the panelbeaters, the car has come back from the paint shop today and they're reassembling it over today and tomorrow. Should be ready to pick up tomorrow afternoon. God it feels like it's been so long...

Got "sport" tomorrow afternoon for work, lawn bowls with a lot of extra elbow bending (the bar opens at 12.30). Gonna have to keep things under control so I can go out for a test drive tomorrow night :-) Plus I bowl better sober...
